For those who tow what size/length hitch are you using? I have one from my old GX but it seems a bit short so wondering what’s the length you are using along with if it’s dropped or raised at all. Just a general direction before I order another.

Depends on your use. I’m using a Reese 2” ball, 2” drop for misc. things. For my Airstream, I use an Equalizer hitch with a 2 5/16” ball.

One thing I haven’t found is the receiver’s tongue weight rating. Yes, I know the manual has 1110 pounds, but there should be something on the receiver itself.

What’s the approximate hitch length from the truck?

This is what I used for towing my Jet-skis:

The tires on the Jet-ski trailer are ST145/R12 145/R12 (just to give you an idea of height).

FYI, when towing, height it set to Medium and doesn't raise or lower at highway speed. Also, it seems to go back to Medium even if you set it to low.

For the same setup when towing with the Model Y, I used a 1 inch drop, but flipped, so it was a 1 inch rise. So it's around 3 inches higher than a Model Y's trailer hitch (off the ground).

The drop or rise depends on the level height of what you are towing. However, the height from the ground to the top of the ball is usually between 16 and 19 inches for most trailers.

My camper had a level height of 18", so the drop on my hitch was only an inch on my F150 to set the top of the ball at 18.
