Keep in mind you're assuming flat ground also. If you're parked on an incline, and cybertent mode to level, then the rear of the truck may be higher than expected, at the same time the ground is slanting down away. Depends exactly what you're trying to cover, I suppose. :)

I'm more curious about this behind the cybertent - it's almost certainly not high enough in most situations to be able to squeeze it over the tent, but I'm thinking having it a few feet back behind the truck, then put out the cybertent awning, and just hand clamp the corners of the awning to the soli canopy.

Man it's tempting to get one to try it! I see Amazon carries the 10x10 version - I wish they had the 12x12, I'd probably order one from them to try since it's so easy to return if it didn't work out.

EDIT: just discovered this other thread, with lots more Soli discussion:

I just got the 12x12 version and am thinking of doing exactly what you describe. Went for grey to match the cybertent. I’ll post pics so you can see exactly how it fits as soon as I try it.
the other application I thought of is just inflating my bed mattress and backing the vault under it for shade as a place to chill or nap on day trips/picnics and that sort of thing.

Perfect! I'll be the guy here clicking refresh every 5 minutes until you post your pics. :) I was thinking grey as well. Although some part of me kinda likes the green one too - but I think I'd want to somewhat match the tent.

Makes perfect sense! Seems like it would make a nice setup for a quick picnic, could sit on the tailgate or put a couple of chairs under it.

Can't wait to see your pics and thoughts on it!

So I haven’t messed with it by the truck but the kids and I set it up in the back yard and I really like the thing. The zippers are a little tight with four walls and the inflation hole is a weird size that only works with the pump they send you and not a standardish SUP pump attachment.
This is a bummer because I carry that for both my tents and the SUP and kayak and actually like my pump. But theirs isn’t very big.
it’s just lame you can’t use something else if it breaks too.
other than that, it’s awesome. The design is beautiful and it creates a nice vibe inside with the arch symmetry and all. Has a place at the very apex to hang a light or maybe even a fan. Haven’t tried that.
My first thought was the blue for obvious reasons but the gray is classy looking in person.
I 3d printed a chip bag clip type thing to hold back the rolled up curtain and make a little door. It doesn’t have such a provision that I could see.

Tesla Cybertruck Hitch mounted umbrella - here's a good option IMG_4485

Looks really nice! I hadn’t thought of having it all enclosed - I’ve mostly been thinking about getting a bit of shade. Seeing your chairs in there really makes the thing look huge too!

Looking forward to seeing it out with the truck, hopefully with the tent/awning if you have the time!

Are you thinking of retiring your umbrellas, or using both in different circumstances?

Probably both for different circumstances but honestly, this thing may make them a moot point. I think optimal is two walls facing wherever the sun is. The mesh doesn’t quite reach the ground so it’s not impervious to bugs but I think it would help cut down on mosquitos and the like. Will absolutely get those pics as soon as I can. Just been a crazy week in the icu and last night I just kind of wanted to to introduce the family to it in the back yard. It was an instant hit with the kids and our dog pickles. They set up shop in it and didn’t want to leave.

I wish that were true. The unlimited funds part at least. My wife is currently a stay at home mom and I work for a county hospital so not rolling in the dough. The umbrellas were under $100 each and the hitch mount was $60 so could be worse. I do like them but I suspect the Soli will be better.

If it came with the 2 walls for that price I’d buy it.
