I also have an electric blackstone and an anova sous vide i take. The induction top is nice for breakfast but nothing beats cooking a big breakfast on a flattop out in the woods.
as for water I have not found anything that comes even close to the boiling speed of a pot and that induction top. Same for rice. I’m old fashioned like that. Measure it with my knuckle and cook in a pot. Seriously though, on its highest setting it delivers 1800 laser focused watts right to that water. I’m constantly impressed how quickly it brings pasta water to a rolling boil.
the sous vide is amazing for nailing perfect temps while camping, precision eggs for ramen, baby formula heating, butter poaching and a few other things.
rustic doesn’t have to mean bad cooking. lol.
Plus. I use it to heat up the water in one of my two rinse kits. That way I have a cold and warm faucet. Double duty and packs very small.
I’ve been curious about those electric ooni pizza ovens. Wonder if they get as hot as my gas one I use at home.
also still haven’t found a propane pit I’m into. But that would be nice. There is an ignik one that looks interesting.
anyone got recommendations?

I have this thing called an A4box, 1500W portable induction cooker, disappeared from the US market unfortunately. It has flat top, grill, shabu-shabu soup , takoyaki/meatball, pancake plates. It's been great for roadtrip, hotel room cooking. I knew as soon as I got the Cyberbeast it would be my dedicated road kitchen. Mine's not pink like the picture, btw.

I'm still trying out different chuck box solutions for all my equipment though.

I definitely use my sous vide for the before the roadtrip prep.

Man I love this site, you guys are hitting all the right buttons for my wallet. I’ve been working on building a new camping setup that would be easy to run out on the weekends as both kids are getting old enough they want to start doing Daddy Daughter camp outs or my twin boys wanting to start learning more about woods and survival.
I’ve watched a BUNCH of this guys videos and won’t lie I may have taken a couple items form his setup and mirrored them in.

But NOOOOOOW there’s an inflatable awning option I can bring?! Goodness me.
