What’s above glamping?I also have an electric blackstone and an anova sous vide i take. The induction top is nice for breakfast but nothing beats cooking a big breakfast on a flattop out in the woods.
as for water I have not found anything that comes even close to the boiling speed of a pot and that induction top. Same for rice. I’m old fashioned like that. Measure it with my knuckle and cook in a pot. Seriously though, on its highest setting it delivers 1800 laser focused watts right to that water. I’m constantly impressed how quickly it brings pasta water to a rolling boil.
the sous vide is amazing for nailing perfect temps while camping, precision eggs for ramen, baby formula heating, butter poaching and a few other things.
rustic doesn’t have to mean bad cooking. lol.
Plus. I use it to heat up the water in one of my two rinse kits. That way I have a cold and warm faucet. Double duty and packs very small.
I’ve been curious about those electric ooni pizza ovens. Wonder if they get as hot as my gas one I use at home.
also still haven’t found a propane pit I’m into. But that would be nice. There is an ignik one that looks interesting.
anyone got recommendations?
