Well, I finally had an opportunity to fully test my PowerShare install today. Power went out in the neighborhood, which is not good in June, in Texas. I kept telling myself throughout the year that I needed to do a manual test of the failover using the “Go Off-Grid” function, but never got around to it since the original install in March of last year. Anyway, I had just unplugged the truck to flip it around to bring into the garage to do my Adam’s treatment to the windshield when my music stopped and lights went off. I figured I tripped one of the GFCIs in the garage, but went in the house to discover everything was off. I said well this is as good as any to test PowerShare! Plugged in the truck and everything in the house came on within seconds. Truck display started approximating the available power to the house, which started at 12 hours and kept climbing. Considering I did not know how long the power would be out, I proceeded to power off my pool pump, with the thought that I would gain a little extra, just in case. I continued to monitor the estimated “runtime” and it eventually calculated to over a day of available power. Very impressive considering we keep our house quite cool during the day. About 2 1/2 hours later the power came back and we went back on grid with no drama. During that time, only 2% of battery was used (started with 78%). I am pleasantly pleased with the performance of the PowerShare system, and of course my Cybertruck. Two exceptional pieces of technology. At one point as I enjoyed cleaning the massive windshield of my truck, with a massive fan blowing, doing garage things, I realized my neighbor 3 doors down wasn’t power washing anything; it was his Generac blasting away. Those suckers are loud!
