No problems here either, since they introduced overheat protection ??
Overheat protection really doesn't do anything but use the battery up.
The truck will cool itself down just a minute or two after you open the door.

It keeps the cabin temperature under 100F by turning on the AC when it exceeds that temperature. Prior to the release of this feature, my CT's interior would regularly get over 120F when parked outside. Now I don't see it go over 100F. But yes, it does consume battery.

The hottest we've seen is 95F and it did great! Love the ventilated seats and the glass seems to take most of the heat out of the sun's rays so it doesn't feel too hot when it's shining on your lap.

I do have the roof sunshade that came with the Foundation edition installed but I don't have a baseline to know how much it's doing. It does make the interior darker, which I like this time of year. I'll remove it when the days get shorter.

Our 2010 F-150 had the weakest air conditioner I've ever seen and two dealerships checked it out, told us it was normal, there was nothing they could do. I have no idea how those further south could tolerate it. I was broiling even on a sunny 80 degree day. It eventually got tolerable but it took a long time. We never took it off the coldest setting all summer. The Cybertruck is like a cool oasis retreat on a hot day. It doesn't take much additional power either. I just leave it on Auto 68 (I like it cool because I overheat easily).

I've had cabin overheat protection for many years.

You are correct, that is what it does. But it really doesn't help anything. The vehicle is built to withstand those temperatures and more.
Just opening the doors will drop the temperature significantly. Warm air rises. And the cooler air sneaks in the bottom. And the A/C starts to kick on, starting to circulate air while it takes about 15 seconds for the compressor to come up to speed and then you have cold air blowing out full force.

I've lived with a Model 3 and Model Y in the South for over 6 years. I had it one to begin with, but if it is on now, it is set for fan only.

I agree, in most cases there is very little point in keeping this setting on. Both I and my wife usually keep it disabled as on hot days with the car parked outside it can eat quite a bit of battery, which looks like a complete waste of energy.

A decent windshield sunshade would help me and probably the interior. I'm reluctant to do any tint or UV stuff on windshield.

65 degrees? You aren't even in our ballpark. I haven't seen temps that low in months.

And later this afternoon, if your truck was here, it would be over 90 degrees, that's just the outside temps.
Right?!? I didn’t like the steel temp at 65, I can only imagine what it’s like at over 115 now. ?

I've used the heat protection several times. Seems like a good feature to have.

Anyway, no problems to report in the heat for me. Amazing really, how fast it can cool the cabin down.

Even when the cabin gets REALLY hot, the Cybertruck cools down quickly when you turn on the A/C (probably one of the most underrated features of Teslas: being able to kick the climate control on remotely).

This is the worst I've seen it (yet). Thankfully, the CT will fit in my garage, so this doesn't happen
too often.

Also, the ventilated seats are wonderful.

65 degrees Celsius is 149 degrees Fahrenheit... Just saying. LOL
