Mail check to Fremont??

I just got email to complete the registration process. First they wanted copy of drivers license. OK. Then it got to financing, yes, who Navy CU. Then it said mail check to address in Fremont.. No way in hell. Navy said they would give me a blank check to fill amount at delivery. They said the final amount is never correct. Ok.
I looked at pricing page. What is Tire fee? What is battery Fee?? There are two registration fees?
Can anyone verify this is the process at delivery?? Especially mailing a check to California???

I just use Plaid for the down payment and Tesla financing for the balance. It was painless and done at the Tesla Service Center an hour before the delivery appointment. Painless but probably not as good of a rate as NFCU (but I refuse to deal with NFCU after how they treated me in a divorce). Anyway, the CA tire fee is a state thing and it was a whopping $7.00 for my car. I don’t see a battery fee, maybe it was part of the licensing and registration fees. In any case, Tesla is not out to nickle and dime you but CA may be.

Since Tesla cannot sell direct in Texas, I had to overnight my CU check to Fremont. The amount was an approximation, I used Plaid to pay the remaining balance.

They will quickly send you a check for any overpayment. That would be a huge deal for my dad, such things are inconsequential to me (in my view, there are much more important things to get up in arms about).
