i use a Bougerv fridge in the Vault. connected to the trailer Aux port. 12v. i got this in particular because its stainless steel, and almost exactly the same size as the Tesla storage bins. where its sitting angle of the bed creates an open space for hot exhaust.

Cool setup. Do you charge a battery with the tow 12v? Not always on right?

With this setup do you require a battery to charge as described through this thread or cannit hook up straight and be on all the time? Also if the latter can you provide instructions as this may be the easiest solution

The Bougerv has the optional battery installed. i will be doing more real world testing this week. I average about 1K miles a week and so far, it's only been tested around town and driveway,

I decided to go with a vault set up since the inside space would be awkward for passengers that I take with me. In the vault, I’m using a small chest freezer and a 59 quart combination fridge freezer. I installed both on a watt meter in the fridge freezer combination average is 40 W And the actual freezer runs about 30 on the hottest days and highest use. It’s a combination of 100 W on hottest days peak power draw. What I’ve done was to plug in both into one plug of the watt meter then into the 110v Since the plugs will only stay on for 12 hours when I’m home I just unplug it and put it in an extension cord that was suggested here several weeks ago to me and it’s worked good for me now, however as someone stated here the vault when closed gets quite hot so the efficiency is not as good as if you crack the vault open a foot. I’m going to try and get a deep cycle 12 V marine battery and use a small trickle charger that would be plugged into the vault outlet and continuously charge the marine battery and use the 12 V connections to power directly from that I did not know there’s so many options on the market. I wonder if the 12 V supplied by the trailer plug stays on all the time or does it too turn off? The chest freezer I can consistently keep the temperature below zero, the fridge freezer combination the fridge part when it set at 32°F never gets above 40 on the hottest day but the freezer part comes closer to 20°F when it’s set for 10 below zero. It was suggested to me on this form to try one of the Jackery devices when I looked at the cost to supply 12 hours for the fridge freezer set up I would’ve had to go with a $700 unit so for me that was cost prohibitive since that’s the only thing I would ever use it for I think everyone’s going to have to have a different set up because many people are going to need access to the fridge while they’re in the cab and people like me stop every hour or two anyway so going to get a drink out of the back or something frozen is no big deal Hopefully someone will come up with a workaround to solve this problem for the cyber trucks.

Im not going to lie this thread has me so impressed with people’s ingenuity but the work to get this working is a lot. If they can enable the 110plugs in vault while ac charging probably wont need any of these options right? Wish there was a way to do that.

Don’t forget truck turns outlets off after 12 hours and that is a pain!

Posted on another thread but there is my new cabin setup that doesn’t take leg room installed today. Still runs on the power station which is charged by the frunk outlet.

Been on the road for a week now. looks like the fridge pulls about 1 mile/hr. i find that acceptable. a 10hr stay in a hotel only costs me about 10 miles. the trailer aux does cut off after 12 hrs, but the backup battery in the fridge picks up and keeps it cold.
The funkiness under the fridge is due to the feet not fitting the bed rails. i may cut off the right side feet so it fits down all the way. it wouldn't be level sitting on concrete but i think that minor, and wouldn't affect operation.

Hi do you have details on how you did install w trailer aux where wires go and what you needed to purchase to make this work? May connect to a bluetti then to fridge to have battery option. Thanks. Also does trailer aux turn back on automatically or you have to signal via app? Any messages pop on screen re trailer mode etc?

My understanding is that anytime an AC cable is connected to the truck, the cybertruck shuts off its AC power.

I get around this by using the 48 volt accessory feeds. One is to the frunk and the other is to the roof. I ran the roof accessory feed to the truck bed.

In either or both of the frunk or trunk I power a Bluetti solar battery/converter (I really don’t know why these things are called “solar generators” as they are really just batteries with cool inverters).
But I power a Bluetti using the accessory feed(s) and then use the Bluetti to power a fridge or fridges.

Or I skip the Bluetti and then use a Buck converter to power a fridge from the 48 volt accessory feeds.

But the Bluettis ensure that my fridge(s) keep(s) running whenever I want them (it) to be running, regardless of the CT’s connection to a charging cable or not.
How did you connect the Bluetti to the accessory feed? I have an Anker solix c1000 and a Jackery, both with 200w solar panels, thinking maybe I can connect one of those? Is it easy to disconnect if you want to use the battery elsewhere while camping let’s say?

Extremely easy and yes, easy to disconnect. Most solar generators, whether Bluetti or Anker or Jackery have an xt connector input or another form of dc-solar input. My little Bluetti is limited to a 24 volt input so I use a 48 volt to 12 volt Buck converter and input that from the 48 volt Cat accessory feed into the Buck converter and then I2 volts into the Bluetti at about 100 watts. This keeps the Bluetti charging. Output to the fridge is only about 35-50 watts. A picture is worth a 1,000 words. Here ya go!

Amazing thank you! I’ll definitely be doing this soon to take advantage of the tap in the frunk. Nice!
