First thing I did when I got my truck was to get into the bed and see if I could fit inside tailgate closed. I want to use it for sleeping, and I will be replacing the rear window with a Breezer window when it comes out to extend the HVAC to the bed.

I am 6 ft 1.5 in tall and I can report that I DO fit comfortably in the bed with the tailgate closed, leaning slightly diagonally. There is about an inch to spare length wise , so I'm not touching any surfaces, with shoes on.

Nice, any chance of a picture of what that looks like, about an inch shorter than you are and also planning on smashing out the CT back window since they cut the midgate option so I can get HVAC in the vault, assuming the vault is not as wet as some people are claiming it should make a nice camping option.

Same height range also looking to camp, so thanks for confirming my basic understanding of a 4x6' rectangle applies. But, if you throw a 12" thick air mattress back there, does the slanted front of the bed now mean you don't fit without touching? What is the ideal mattress thickness for someone of our stature?

I would try to get a mattress that is less than 12 in thick. I think you are going to lose too many length inches that way, but diagonally you might fit, tight.

I was able to get a 6-in latex mattress, which I will be cutting to form. Once I sink into the mattress, I think I should be okay, might be right on the money.

Thanks for this info. It's something I've been wondering about and this tells me that it'll be fine for my use. BTW, there are some very good self inflating mattresses out there that are extremely comfortable. I have a 4.5" Lost Horizon that's as comfortable as a decent bed IMO. Not light but that's no big deal for car/truck camping. There are numerous other brands.

How's the backseat? I'm pretty close to your height and my Tesla location won't let us go in it :(

Back seats are fairly spacious, not as spacious as other latest generation trucks, but pretty good. If I sit in the backseat "behind myself", I have about 2 in left for my knees and about an inch before I touch the roof glass.

A small note, the front seats do not roll back enough compared to the model 3. The model 3 seat adjustment is much longer than the Cyber truck. I would like the front seat on the cybertruck to be able to move back another two or three inches, but I guess I can get used to it.

I'll be reviewing a lost horizon mattress made specifically for the cybertruck soon, likely in the next 1-2 weeks. You'll be able to find the video on my youtube channel, It's Binh Repaired and Reviewed. I currently have a video of the double size mattress in there. It is a bit long so it needs to be folded at one end, but it works great!
