When considering the best trailer for towing by an electric vehicle (EV), you should focus on factors like weight, aerodynamics, and overall efficiency. Lightweight and aerodynamic trailers are ideal to minimize the impact on the EV’s range. Here are a few options known for their suitability with EVs:
1. **Safari Condo Alto Series**:
- **Models like the Alto A2124**: Known for their lightweight and aerodynamic teardrop design.
- Made from aluminum, which reduces weight.
- Retractable roof in some models helps further minimize drag.
2. **Airstream Basecamp**:
- Compact and lightweight.
- Aerodynamic design helps reduce drag.
- Durable and stylish, with modern amenities.
3. **Escapod TOPO2**:
- Lightweight off-road trailer.
- Streamlined design to reduce drag.
- Rugged construction while maintaining a relatively low weight.
4. **Bowlus Road Chief**:
- Very lightweight and highly aerodynamic.
- Luxurious and efficient design.
- Made with aircraft-grade aluminum.
5. **Taxa Outdoors Cricket**:
- Lightweight and designed for efficiency.
- Compact and aerodynamic.
- Suitable for off-grid adventures.
In general, the **Safari Condo Alto Series** is often considered one of the best options due to its exceptional aerodynamics and lightweight construction. The **Airstream Basecamp** is also a strong contender for its compact and aerodynamic design.

The Bowlus is just too much. I'm about to rent one for a week to see if I like it. Any thoughts on the Airstream Bambi, Basecamp, or the Safari condo Alto series? More concerned with range than comfort. Airstream obviously holds their value well. Thoughts?
