I've read a lot of you don't get them. My FSD dry wipe comes after almost every engagement, within a minute or so. I have gotten in the habit of using the mic to say "wipers off" each and every time after engaging FSD. I hope the engineers take note, as I'm sure they want to encourage a different behavior!

It doesn't happen as often as it used to. I had the little picture pop up and it said to clean the windshield and if this continues to pop up, schedule service to clean the camera area. I didn't. Tesla set it up along with my light installation. Result? It doesn't wipe nearly as often as it did. In fact, I've gone whole days between phantom wipes. And then days with multiple wipes... can't quite get on the winning wagon with wipes.

This forum is great! I should have known I could do this ... the phantom wipe is annoying, but then turning it off was also annoying as I would hit the wiper button and it would wipe again! But using voice control is perfect. Thanks!

I just finished a Florida to California trip and for the first half, dry wipes occurred often so I turned off the wipers every time I engaged FSD. Then I received update 2025.38.6 and for the last half of the 5 day trip NO dry wipes at all!!!

Dry wipes went to about one per hour (on average) after I cleaned the glass and lenses of the forward looking cameras. Software update seem to have further reduce dry wipes (but they happen too seldom to be sure if it was a software update or the effect of cleaning the forward-facing cameras).

I got 2025.38.6 and I still get dry wipes in FSD. I noticed it occurring right after passing an oncoming large truck on a two lane hwy. I am beginning to think it has something to do with the wind pressure from the oncoming truck, but I have not seen any post describing that issue. I wish Tesla would just allow us to turn wiper off until we need it and not have it come on auto in FSD

I noticed that my Cybertruck seems more likely to dry wipe on cloudy days, and for some reason it seems like cloudy + stopped at a stop light seems to be the highest risk situation for dry wiping.
