Tourism. Having cybertrucks would be a reason people would choose one resort over another or one tour over another. There are city tours on segues--those silly electric lean-mobile things that were supposed to be the most important invention of the 20th century that actually are just expensive novelties. It's fun to do the tours (that you might not otherwise do) just because you get to experience the segues.

If you had a fleet of cybertrucks you could sell safari tours, or just offroad camping tours. People would pay a lot more to use your service rather than someone else's, and potentially would do experiences and tours that they would otherwise never do if you hyped up the cybertruck aspect of the tour like by driving across bodies of water and up mountains and camping in inaccessible places. You could also hype up the environmentally friendly aspect of driving across the wilderness in a vehicle that is electric. There is an obvious appeal to having a Cybertruck. Not sure if you remember the first gulf war but at that time there were businesses that would buy a Hummer just to put their logos on it--because everybody would look.

...The maintenance guy who just drove away from the dealership across the street in his filthy ten year old diesel pickup with brooms and tools stacked in the back?
...The lawn guys who just came past with their mowers and tools tucked in the back of their not-made-anymore Toyota truck?
...The detail guys working on my car right now?
...The contractor leading construction crews?
...The remodel crews using them to carry just enough parts for today or changes - the rest get delivered by the retailer?
...The beach or trail patrol, both private and public, with their shovels and boards?

I dunno, but it sure seems most of 'em use a truck so they can carry tools or materials that pack a bit too tight in an SUV and want something that doesn't cost and arm and a leg to operate and two parking spots to grab lunch with.

Look up "hotshot" trucking.
My first thought, or mostly, "illegal trucking." I sold an RV bed to one of them, and then a box of other RV stuff to another. One openly admitted to running overweight loads for a day without rest on "the Benz" or something that sounded like that, I really really didn't want to be part of the conversation. Particularly when he also then told me how he'd spend a couple days waiting for the next one, with nothing but the lizards to occupy his time. Ugh.

Excuse me, I need to shower.

There are lots of legit things that are vehicle focused, trucks would seem to be at least as important as a business focus. I have a neighbor who does work truck rentals as a living. They are already fitted with headache racks or work box beds, and used by companies with a shortage for whatever reason.

Also there are performance driving schools and offroad adventure schools and experiences like parachuting and para-sailing, they need vehicles to get around. You could charge a premium if you got around in cybertrucks, and also the trucks would be free advertising.

Just as there are performance driving schools, there are schools for offroad driving, and again people would pay a premium to do their offroad driving training in a cybertruck. You could make the school focus on the extra features a cybertruck has as opposed to a regular 4x4. You could recruit teachers from Lexus' performance driving school or Land Rover's or Subaru's offroad schools. You could offer certifications. You could do hunting excursions. You could offer certifications for both offroad and performance driving. Hollywood will want cybertrucks in their movies. There are businesses whose sole mission is to provide hollywood with all the bizarre crap they need for period-movies like suits of armor or old cars or futuristic stuff. There are lots of ways to use Cybertrucks in a business, especially while they're a huge novelty.

You could market your fleet to a police department and retrofit them for police or rescue work. I don't believe that would be the kind of reselling Tesla is aiming at in their contract.

Lots of possibilities ...

Yeah, really good points that you make.

I always had the term “autonomous cargo hauler“ in my head as a service. Like, I always figured just the ring to the name, autonomous, cargo hauler, sounds so good, but I wanted to leave that as an option. I don’t think FSD will be ready, but it might line up somewhere with the timeline maybe on the second batch.

Yeah, really good ideas, I live in a beach town. I wonder how I can turn that around for a profit for the first 2 or 3 years

Guided Cybertruck beach tours with camping? You go out with every camping party to make sure they don't take your trucks out into the surf for fun. Maybe there's offroad driving around there somewhere and a nice spot for a campfire?

Just ideas. I don't know how hard that would be to do. You could get drivers. You could even let the campers drive if you are supervising them. You could let them go out with you a couple times and then get some kind of gps system set up so you can figure out if they're going crazy driving into the surf... then you could charge them more for "secluded adventures" on their own. You could have wraps made for your cyber trucks... "Beach Tours! Call 310-555-1212." Is it a good idea? I bet you'll get free press. Everyone will want to do news stories on the camping excursions in the Elon Musk trucks... provided he's not in trouble for some tweet. You could check out other similar businesses to see what kind of pricing they have and then set up pricing that is enough to make your business profitable. I guess you could check them out now and see whether the numbers seem to work. Do you think that's a good idea? Might be hard to do. The insurance might be hard. You'll have to hire and fire some people. Setting up the prices might be hard. You already set up the business but if you're going to get investors you'll need to get a lawyer to set up your operating agreement. Maybe go on Shark Tank. :) I guess you could check out the prices for hunting excursions, they're pretty pricey I understand. You could base your prices on that. Hmm. Maybe go to some great fishing spot. Ocean fishermen are pretty dedicated and I bet some of them are loaded. Maybe you could do a little test business with some used 4x4 right now.

Tours would be fun and likely Cybertruck would be a nice schtick for a while.

Mine will end up getting used for shuttling a bunch.

Do you complain just as loudly when Tesla does this themselves? They change prices all the time in response to demand. Are you as actively protesting dealerships that do the same thing? This guy is basically just acting as the dealership that is missing in the Tesla supply chain. Welcome to America, capitalism and entrepreneurship! By the way, no one "Needs" a cybertruck....there's plenty of other trucks not affected by what this guy is doing if someone has a true need for a truck.
Here's what you're missing:

The seller (Tesla) is not the buyer (Tesla customer). So equating what the customer does with what Tesla does to justify it doesn't work in the system of capitalism you seem to love so much. You cannot buy a Cybertruck without signing a purchase/sale agreement with Tesla. That is a legally binding contract that the entrepreneur (Tesla) requires of every buyer. If you don't want to sign it, Tesla doesn't have to sell you one. When you buy one, you agree it is for your personal use. Now they are probably not going to stop you from flipping it once you buy it, and they couldn't stop you unless they could prove you bought it with the intention of flipping it. But they sure as hell have the right to refuse to sell you anymore. And that's exactly what they will do once they discover what you are doing.

Welcome to America, capitalism and entrepreneurship!
