I only have one major gripe about the CT (really any FSD enabled Tesla): If FSD has issues where it disables the ability to use any assistance features (FSD, TACC, park assist, etc) there needs to be an option to use "dumb" cruise control (as in you set a speed and the vehicle goes that speed until you turn it off or adjust it with the scroll wheel). This is a basic feature on most ICE vehicles and should always be on option available. I understand that it is not the safest way to drive but if all other safety features are not available it would be nice to have the option.
I will gladly acknowledge on the screen that I am fully responsible for how fast the vehicle is going, but it is really difficult to maintain a speed manually when you are traveling a long distance. I would argue that it is more of a risk manually controlling your speed because it fluctuates so easily/quickly and you end up looking at the screen more than you should.
I am in that situation now (waiting for a service appointment). Driving around town isn't horrible, but driving more than an hour at a time requires some effort.
I know on other vehicles there is an option to adjust the level of re-gen, but I don't see it on the CT. Being able to lower the re-gen would help in my situation.
What do y'all think?
