RN#: 11286 | Ordered 2/14 | VIN 80xx on 4/19 | Delivery 5/8, 2:30 pm
Location: Castleton Service Center in Indianapolis, IN
  • Arrived about 30 minutes before our appointment and located our truck among the three on the lot
  • Followed the steps in the app to gain access to the truck
  • Went through our entire delivery checklist and noted things we wanted to ask about
  • Spoke with Tesla employee for ~10 minutes in total
  • Service guys made sure one surface mar was superficial, not a scratch
  • They had to do a firmware update to get the windshield wiper to work
  • The back driver-side widow stuck five times before rolling down properly
  • Everything else looked good and worked well! (8 mi on the truck when we picked it up)
  • Stopped for coffee and then headed home
  • Lots of looks, mostly positive reactions, and only one person went to the trouble of making an exaggerated gagging expression as we drove by
Our initial thoughts:
WE LOVE IT! :) Drove great in town and on the highway. Steering and controls were easy to get used to.
No remorse, no regrets. I opened the garage this morning and smiled because I was so happy to see a Cybertruck parked there. :)

Congratulations!

It's encouraging to see so many others taking delivery and knowing I'm not the only one enjoying this amazing vehicle. I still can't believe how fortunate I am to have one of these in my possession! It's blowing my mind how good it is.

My wife and I picked it up over three weeks ago and still have not seen a single other Cybertruck, not even at the Lynnwood, WA delivery center when we picked ours up. We even took a trip into one of the hottest Tesla hotspots in the country yesterday, Bellevue, WA, we saw hundreds of Tesla, but not a single other Cybertruck.

Was the majority of the delivery experience through the app I assume?

Yes, I could have just handed them the registration paperwork that I found in the truck and left. Someone eventually came out to see if we had any questions and we told him about the wiper issue.

We were early, so it might have been a different experience if we had arrived later.

Sweet, headed to castleton Saturday… couldn’t get off work and driving up from southern Indiana, can’t wait to floor it on the highway home! Might stop by Home Depot, but I don’t know if we’ll have time!

Was there just last weekend for the REV event we help out with at the Indy 500. Saw several in the parking lot and by the mall. I keep on wanting to just sit in one to see if I can fit comfortable in the truck and to see if someone can actually sit behind me. 6’6 over here. I’ll find out soon enough.

I test fit mine in the garage where we keep the Model X and the charger…it stuck out 2’!
Luckily I have a separate shop and can park it there. I added a charger, too.
