Interior Ambient Lighting has stopped working

Have less than 1k miles

My ambient light that runs across the front dash has stopped working completely. The light is completely off however the side door ambient lights are fully working.

Wondering if anyone else had this issue with their CT or maybe any of the newer models that also have ambient lighting perhaps in the model 3 refresh.

I will take pics tonight once darker.

I don't have your issue but mine doesn't seem uniform or even. Seems like there is a smaller brighter or uneven area. Maybe it's normal behavior. I will try to get a noticable pic.

I have the same issue as of july 12. Front stopped working but the doors are fine. Maybe the update messed it up?

I just noticed the same issue. I’m going to just make a service request. I hope it’s a software thing.

Mine went off immediately after I had windshield tinted. Noticed dash was wet. I planned to give it a day before scheduling service but it worked fine the next day and has been fine ever since.

Mine cleared up after a day. I did reboot a few times but I guess it going to sleep helped reset it. No issues since

So I did briefly took it into service to get this resolved. About 1-2 hrs max. Apparently it was the MAC address that dropped. No idea how to fix that without service but anyone else having the issue. Try resetting the MAC address somehow.

I noticed the latest software update changed the ambient lighting to the new option "nighttime only". I switched it back to "always".

I noticed the latest software update changed the ambient lighting to the new option "nighttime only". I switched it back to "always".

It added night time only, if I am not mistaken. It didn't used to be an option.
