Is Rubber Trim Missing?

Am I missing a short piece of rubber trim between the little panel the wiper arm shaft comes up through and the cantrail?

They(SC)* will say no. Mine is similar and I had a service request.

The CT is designed for water etc ingress behind panels, according to SC.

Would be funny to see what the backside of the panels look like in a couple years when everyone is polishing/ maintaining the exteriors

So yours came that way from the factory? I just noticed it after I had service on the wiper arm done yesterday and was wondering if they forgot to put it back on or not.

There is no side seal there.

Edit: just for your peace of mind, this was delivered this way. It’s never had any work on it and never had any issues.

This is how mine looks too...before and after they replaced my wiper motor.

One thing that happened to me: after they replaced my wiper motor (the 2nd time), I sometimes hear a faint whistle when at highway speeds. So something isn't perfect but it looks to be installed the same as the previous wiper motor. Anyone else have the same thing?
