Tesla Cybertruck It Delivers!!!! IMG_6430

-drove to the SC in Marina Del Ray…. Was greeted by a fantastic Tesla team.
- said goodbye to my old friend “Apple”, my 2016 Red Tesla X. Great car and enjoyed her.
-took a test drive for the Tesla team to show off the FSD, (I’m now a confirmed convert!!!!)
- the Tesla team escorted my husband and I inside where I completed the paperwork within 15 minutes. My X immediately disappeared from my App.
-after 10-15 minutes of anticipation they pulled back a black curtain with my Cybertruck sitting in a bank of fog, and laser lights dancing off of its shiny stainless steel. I could barely walk over to it, my legs were rubber. Facing my truck were 2 trucks on each side, with there Frunk lids opening and closing to add to the fog and light show. It was as if they were applauding me. SO F**King awesome.
- after I could get my feet back on the ground I got the whole introduction to my truck. Excellent presentation and customer service. I was overwhelmed with the extreme tech, the beauty of the design, its simplicity and beauty.
When I was ready and no more questions - they asked us to go outside, for delivery.
-We waited outside, and my truck (now called “RIZZ”) pulled out of the warehouse and down a red (carpet) ramp, all lights flashing like a disco.
- we were briefed on the driving process, and I took a couple of laps around the parking lot, and said goodbye and thanked the Tesla Team - we felt special and well appreciated.
- I drove out into the wild, nervously retraining myself in how to drive. It was a bit anxious but I soon relearned views, blinkers, etc.
- we drove to the PCH, sound system blaring, (the best auto sound system I’ve heard!!!)
Up the coast for a true California moment.
- stopped at the beach and took pictures paired our phones and Spotify.
- drove Sunset across LA, with smiling waves and lots of attention. A See the Stars open double decker bus, filled with tourist, stopped for the out of Townes to take pictures of my truck! Waves and pictures. I felt like a celebrity.
- we ended the afternoon at TSportline, for a wrap and window film consult. GREAT team there. They had 4 trucks in the floor and 20 on the production list!!!
- getting window film on the 23rd, full two tone wrap on the 29th with a weekend road trip to Vegas in between.
- the drive all in over LA was met with lots of smiles, a young kid who was just staring with his mouth open, until I waved at him, and he sheepishly waved back and smiled.
- the best was a caught a young woman in the car next to me with her phone up, after we smiled I rolled down my window, and she said she was FaceTiming her brother in Atlanta who had never seen one before. I told him it was day one and it was amazing. He gave me a thumbs up and she yelled thank you as the light changed and we drove away.
Rizz is parked out in front and every one who is walking by - taking pictures and I can’t believe that this wondrous truck is in front t of my house!!!
Well done Tesla, Well done!

Sounds like a truly amazing day! That’s awesome that the Tesla team put on a show and made you feel special! I hope my team does something like that but we will see lol. I have a pretty crazy costume setup for my daughter and I when we pick mine up one day. Hopefully, it’s appreciated by the Tesla team ?. I hope to have a day that’s somewhat as cool as yours when I get mine here in little Mississippi. ??

AWD or Cyberbeast?

Did you check for alignment issues at tailgate, A pillar, c pillar, gaps, etc? They are supposed to be minimizing these issues.

What version of Software?

I hope you get the full treatment. There’s nothing quite like southern hospitality- maybe they will fill the back storage with ice and some Lone Star beer. Be fun to have a truck full of ice and beer for a true crawfish boil.

It’s the AWD, we drove around all day in chill mode, just to make sure I had good responses built up, then my husband suggested Sport mode. I barely breathed on the acceleration and we flew down the street. It’s a shocking difference. Verrrrrrrry Kool. ?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️. Only one alignment issue on the Frunk, passenger side is a little low. But an easy adjustment when I take it in for the first time.

Well done Tesla, Well done!
Congratulations! Looks like another beauty!

I was just thinking about the Cybertruck development timeline yesterday. We know it took the team only three months to go from concept to the prototype they showed at the reveal. As Elon said, prototypes are easy compared to volume production.

This means Tesla took the Cybertruck from concept to production in only 4 1/2 years! Yes, it's longer than the 2 1/2 years that was their aspiration, but to be fair, COVID happened right after the reveal and legacy automakers plan on 7-8 years from concept to production for a clean sheet design.

In otherwords, Cybertruck development, although slower than anticipated, was actually blazingly fast by industry standards and it's even more amazing when one considers the required gigacasting machines, new processes for fabrication of the HFS, steer by wire, and all the other innovations hidden within.

I hope you get the full treatment. There’s nothing quite like southern hospitality- maybe they will fill the back storage with ice and some Lone Star beer. Be fun to have a truck full of ice and beer for a true crawfish boil.
