So, I recently traded in my FS for another FS and this one is doing some quirky stuff I don’t understand.
It repeatedly disables FSD and reverts to cruise control requiring me to put the car in park, go to the autopilot menu and “enable” FSD by signing the little legal blurb. Not every drive either but it’s a recurrent problem and annoying because it doesn’t manifest until I’m out on the road and try to engage FSD. It basically behaves like a loaner does when you first drive it off the service center premises.
Also, for some reason it refuses to recognize my wife’s phone as a Bluetooth audio entity even though it’s paired with it as a key.
I also can’t get it to recognize the car-eoke Tesla mics even when they are the only thing plugged into the glovebox. The little receiver box lights up green and the mics are on (one with a solid blue ring and the other with a flashing blue ring) but the mics don’t show up in the software or work.
Tried two finger salute reset and power off from service menu. What would you do next?

As to the FSD issue, I’d double check that there are no camera obstructions and that the glass is squeaky clean. I lost FSD once for letting the truck bake in the AZ sun w/o climate control, and the front windshield camera turned itself off to self-protect. I might try going into service mode to look for any FSD-related errors, as well as to check the individual camera feeds.

As to the Bluetooth issue, other than deleting from Bluetooth and reinstalling the mikes I am at a loss. It seems a Tesla product should work practically seemlessly with the CT. ?‍♂

I have experienced the same things. I feel like the FSD thing might have been when my wife was also in the car and it thought she was driving? She didn't have FSD on in her profile.
It hasn't happened again in a whole since I set her up for FSD too.

I haven't really trouble shot my wife's iPhone Bluetooth failure by removing and adding again. I have my phone set as a priority device, not hers. Although my son's pixel works fine, and my Samsung is fine. Maybe another iOS incompatibility issue. But she had no problem on our 24 model 3 or 21 model y.

I've also had issues with the truck not wanting to connect to my home WiFi while I'm the garage. My other Teslas would auto connect. The CT doesn't and sometimes struggles even when I manually try to connect.

Are you using Auto Park? There is a long-standing bug where using auto park will disable FSD. You need to re-enable it each time.

That is very interesting. Thank you. I do use auto park but hadn’t noticed a correlation. Will try that out .

Almost the same issue. I love my truck, but the red yoke of death is pretty startling. Tesla service now thinks it’s a wiring harness problem. Idk, maybe. I had FSD malfunction within a week of ownership in Dec 24, had a door module replaced, then no issues until May 25- FSD worked every time for 6 months. Then all of a sudden in May FSD starts shutting off after about 20 min, and I get a ‘cruise control disabled’ warning. . Tesla service said I had a bad brake caliper. Replaced it, but did not fix FSD shutting off. Then I started getting the ‘would you like to try FSD’ screen. Then Tesla Service did a full software reload. No difference. I’m scheduled for the harness replacement in Sept. funny thing is that when I power down reboot from the safety menu, FSD will work again for about 20 minutes. so is it really a harness or hardware? Just today I’m getting the ‘auto hold disabled’ warning but FSD is working. Don’t know if FSD is just not ready for prime time or if I got a lemon vehicle. Opinions?

Well I'll be... clean the cameras!

The software works in other trucks, therefore not a fundamental issue with the software. People have reported problems with the cameras being dirty, I would think they might need alignment at least a check. Harnesses have caused problems on other Tesla products, and they know this, there are all kinds of problems that can happen on any car, Tesla is not immune, but very interested in the problems. Harnesses could be made by a supplier. Most likely a harness than a software issue. I am using FSD all the time and show shutoff problems which I am running down, like not having the cameras clean enough.

Aren't the key and audio two different things? That could explain your mikes not working as well.

Are you still having WiFi connection issues?
