This is never coming to market, lots of problems with the design concept in terms of making it practical, safe, and affordable so it can sell in volume. Unlike Tesla, Kia doesn't make the unthinkable happen.

Kia is testing interest in the PV5 at SEMA right now. If it goes into production the design is guaranteed to get watered down.

Look at the way the wheel hub cap & tire revolve at different speeds from each other.
Just a weird hub cap or does this have some kind of "hub" motor?

Since we've only seen renders so far, it's hard to know how much of the tech on the PV5 WKNDR is real. The press kit says that the solar panels can charge the PV5's batteries, but so, too, can "unique hydro turbine wheels." It does not elaborate on what these are, but it sounds like maybe you can stick a wheel in a running stream and it'll spin the motor, thereby generating electricity?
