Is he testing v13? 12.5.5.3 still leaves much to be desired IMO

No, he is going to be on 12.5.5.3 currently.

While there are many quirks with 12.5.5.3, it's certainly miles ahead of v11 and other hw3 vehicles on v12.

My 3 and my Parents’ Y (both HW3) are on 12.5.4.1 and they are infinitely more confident than my CT. Maybe it’s because we don’t have profiles yet so I can’t set it to assertive.

Yeah, confidence, i'll agree there. I had a hw3 model 3 loaner a few weeks back and it was very assertive, which i liked.

Yep, they do really well. And CT will get there quickly. Right now it’s just a bit timid. It drives fine, I’m not worried about it crashing itself, it’s just slow.

When FSD 13.3 is released for the CT it will be a whole new level.

Almost there. I do think they are near an inflection point where it will be appealing to luddites, too. It is still not a better driver than me (or the average driver) but FSD+me is definitely better than me alone. Would not say that about anything prior to v12. Really just need to fix the city left-turns and I will have zero interventions for most of my drives. Tesla used to take turns perfectly prior to switching to the full AI stack. I think, perhaps, Tesla needs to curate the video they use to train their model a bit more.
