Did anyone else notice their liftgate lip comes up off the bracket on one of the ends if you just put a little bit of force into it and peel up? You can see the metal bracket its supposed to be secured to. Mine was like this at delivery, and they have shown me on other trucks at the center and 3 out of 4 of them had the same thing. They're telling me it's normal but if not all the trucks have it, how could it be normal? Seems more like a manufacturer defect to me.

A feature searching for a problem. Enjoy your truck, don’t micro-analyze. Otherwise every misaligned panel, rattle, screen reboot will drive you crazy. Or you could add a fugly steel panel that looks like it comes from a high school shop class - with wonderful exposed screws and DIY-crafted welds for a couple grand.

Totally agree with you. I didn't critique my truck for every small imperfection (panel alignments, windshield wiper, rattles, noises, etc. First, it's a truck, not a Ferrari. Second it's the first generation of a totally new design and architecture for an electrical vehicle (bound to be some downsides). I just drive it, enjoy it and accept the minor deficiencies. Love this truck and thoroughly enjoy it. Miles of Smiles.

It's a snapped on plastic piece, what do you expect it to do if you pull on it?

Yes mine does exactly the same thing in the same area. I mentioned it to service when I first picked it up, they replaced the tailgate cap, but it didn't fix anything, it still does it. I do believe it is a defect - if you look at the cap lip where it comes down to to the tail light (basically looking upward along the tailgate), you will probably see a little bulge in the plastic of the cap - it looks like its not going all the way down for it to engage some clip or something and making the plastic bulge in that spot.
I've just lived with it at this point and give it a couple love taps when it comes loose. Stainless ones look dope tho

How about the fact that I'm not using much force and when I apply the same exact force on the other end it's secure and doesn't lift up? Or that there are some trucks that when applied the same force on either end neither end lifts up?
Gotcha, so it seems like the outermost clip isn't latching? (And maybe the side tab, if there is one)

Where the arrows are pointing, is that the side that faces outward or inward? Because it's the right side and side that faces outward that is lifting up

That's the inner side. It's the opposite side that needs a metal clip - but if you look at the pic on top of the arrow - other side, it looks like there is a little plastic clip that goes over something.. I think that is the issue.

There should be four hook features on the other edge:
