Whats your thought on that aftermarket light bar? Looks like the alibaba one thats been sold by all the dropshippers and ebay. I havent heard any reports of those ones flying off… worth the $400-$700?
Hasn't flown off yet! it's got about 20K miles on it. doublesided tape. not the easiest thing to put on with one person. but i managed. Very bright. actually quieted down the airflow. it got louder with the roof rack, and this brought it down to about halfway between stock and with rack.
Good pictures here. https://www.rpmtesla.com/products/draft-cybertruck-roof-spotlight-bar

This a custom job or would it be possible for some links?

Interested in running board and tailgate lights, looks neat! Nice work!

Looks great! I have been adding lights as well, I will post some pics later. How did you mount the tail light LEDs? Nice job! And, did you hook in the reverse light (I saw white lights)? The 4 pin connector doesn't do reverse by default, right?

I purchased and installed this light on my CT:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTMK16CY?th=1

It is a split light - I actually custom made 3D printed brackets to raise my license plate up, so that the light could fit behind the plate on each side a few inches - and then put a screw into the outer ends into the reflector to mount each side securely. I drilled a hole in the plastic behind the license plate to route the trailer light wire through to the trailer light wire connector on the truck...

I can post pics/.stl files of the behind the plate brackets if anybody would want to use them

I am very happy with the lights. I just don't know how to connect up the reverse wire as I thought the truck reverse lights will be at a higher voltage?

The 7 pin connector is designed for larger trailers. they are all 12v. it has Reverse, ebrakes, and Aux power. if you cut down a 7 pin connector you can wire it and still close the door enough to use the 4 pin for actual trailers. I am using the Aux to power my fridge. the light you bought has a 4pin extension that you can wire into the 7 pin connector.

This is what i'm using. cut down to about 1 1/2 inches.
The truck backup lights are probably 48v but the trailer connector has to be, and is, 12v

Ok, I feel a bit dumb now :) Thanks for the info! I had already split my 4-pin connector

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09N12Y2K2?th=1

to have 2 of them ... but I will look into making a custom 7-pin to 4-pin adapter with reverse wire out so that I can add that into my lights.

I am also looking into the RGB front light ... The Boring Light

https://www.theboringlight.com/

as it just looks so darn cool!

I’m sorry if this a dumb question, but are your lights actually working with a light show? Does your light bar also work with a show?

You would consider slapping unknown chinesium electrical devices from alibaba on your 80+ thousand dollar truck?

More curious the poster’s opinion if it was worth it. Ideally id like Tesler to go ahead and make the OEM one available to everyone… someone is selling one on ebay for $4000 but im not spending that

Lights! gotta love them. I've always been one to put lights on my trucks. Pias, Hellas, KCs, etc. CT has been challenging, and fun at the same time. The lightshow makes it even more fun. I love the lightshows.

I currently have 28, some seasonal. Someday we may even be able to add foglights and lightbars into the shows. I'm curious to see what others have done. trying to keep it street legal, but with vague wording and conflicting reports, it's not easy. Best I can hope for is an easy-going cop, who's not mad at Elon. What I have so far.
  • Lightbar (aftermarket)
  • double foglights (yellow-green)
  • tailgate light-bar (red turn signals)
  • ditch lights (come on with lightbar)
  • running board lights (white marker and sequential amber turn)
  • roof marker lights (5 white)
  • roof taillights (2 red)
  • front center light (between headlights)

So please post pictures of your lighting setup. Put mine to shame! I want to see what everyone else has done.

Rock lights? Underglow? Hazards? Maybe a searchlight? Puddle lights? The Bat symbol?

I have the tailgate lights mounted higher on a roof-rack bar. Ran a 7-pin extension from the hitch up just inside the stainless to pop out where the rack mounts. Also added an additional switched spotlight running off the 12v output of the 7-pin aiming inside the bed. I also mounted a lightbar to the front roofrack powered from the top 48v port. Most panels snap off then pop back on making running the cables easier.

running boards, marker lights, and taillights work with lightshow. lightbar, foglights, and sasquatch lights do not.

my latest addition to Isaac. Its usb powered. I'd love to have it come on when the truck stops and shut off when it starts.

Nice addition. Can I ask a few questions about the running boards lights? I picked up some lights and trailer wiring plus some splitters and just want to make sure I have a decent grasp of what I'm doing before I get into it.

if it hasn't been answered before, i can confirm that an OEM lightbar easily integrates into a CT not just a CB!
purchased one here on the forum and installed it myself. I believe the green wire carries data, but i also noticed that there is something that looks like an IR port on the bottom of the bar. i was careful not to cover it, as it may communicate with the camera bay. Either way i have full control through the software. i even figured how to integrate my Sasquatch lights with the bar. Though i understand that they are now called Zombie lights not Sasquatch lights. (Millennials)
