After seeing the post by @GMONEPEPE about the back panel nuts missing I checked mine when I got home. As was mentioned in the thread, these appliqués are only secured by clips, the threaded studs are there to mount crossbars.

However, when I pulled up on one of the tabs on the driver side, the appliqué pulled up. One of the loose clips snapped into place when I pressed down on it, but the second clip would not engage. Here’s a video of what mine is doing…

The appliqué are held in place by double sided tape and plastic clips. The tape doesn’t hold well and yours is missing a white plastic clip that goes onto that tab. Back to service center for repair. It takes about 10 mins to replace both. Unfortunately the new ones will prob do it again

Be careful with these. Mine fell off somewhere yesterday. Make sure you use the 3m double sided sticky to get that back on... the process in the service manual is to clean it off and use alcohol to clean residue.. let dry for a minute, and then reapply. I think using extra double sided tape is a good idea on this until a better solution is made.

Edit: Does anyone know if this can still be driven in the rain with this piece missing?
