Matched with Tesla installer = VIN time?

So a month ago I got the email that stated I'm eligible for PowerShare. It stated, "Once your VIN is assigned and your delivery is scheduled, we will match you with a Tesla Certified Installer who will reach out to you to schedule a site visit."

Then tonight I got an email saying they've matched me with a certified installer who will reach out to me. According to the first email quoted above above, they match you with an installer once a VIN is assigned. However, no VIN in the app.

Does anyone have any insights into the possible correlation between being matched with a certified installer and getting a VIN?

Same question! Just got the same email as you about 20 minutes ago. Still no VIN. 70 days since order.

Same here. After 75-day of waiting, still no VIN, but got the same email from Tesla matching me to a local certified installer. Hopefully VIN will arrive in the next day or two? ?

Someone earlier today posted in a different thread that they received that 'matched with installer' email a before their VIN.

I also received that email 20ish minutes ago and no VIN yet. Initially I was excited, but I'm thinking lots of people got that email...I'm assuming they updated their process flow a bit and are sending them in bulk now rather than once assigned.

I'm trying to temper my excitement. I already check the app 15x per day for a VIN...if I let this email get my hopes up I'll be checking 30x per day.

Yep, maybe a VIN is matched behind the scene as well. Lots of VIN assignments are happening these days, and there are some positive signs of production ramping. East Coast could use some belated love!

Did you try to speak someone at your designated delivery/service center about your VIN? I thought in some cases that they have located the truck and even scheduled the delivery on the spot.

I got it too. Matched with my installer. Went back and re-read the first email...

I have two questions:
1. Did anyone near Nags Head NC get paired with an installer, if so, who? I tried to talk to Tesla about not being sure where I wanted to install and didn’t get very far.
2. Has anyone gotten any information on getting a credit towards the new powerwall that includes a gateway rather than just the gateway? Also tried to get this information chatting with Tesla and was unsuccessful.
