will cybertruck go through 8 inches of water? and without pumping up the battery? we are stranded down here on the Bolivar Peninsula for the second day in a row with 6 to 8 inches on the road leading out of the neighborhood.

Put it in Wade mode if you aren't sure of depth. I think it can go through 17 inches or more. Search "cybertruck Wade mode" on youtube and see how insanely well the truck does

yeah, I saw a YouTube the other day that was going through really deep water testing various depths "insanely". I would not do that, future problems

If you're on asphalt under the water: off-road mode -> rock -> extract height + wade mode. Go slow but keep momentum.
If you're on dirt, just be sure to turn on lockers first. Always use lockers on offroad water as it's important to maintain momentum.
Good luck!!

Yes, ground clearance is over 8 inches as long as you aren't in entry mode (then it's 7.9).

(But make sure you know where any obstacles/ drop off are)

When the Cybertruck is in drive and the music playing, you should see the music card in the lower left. If

you swipe it left, I believe that it goes to the odometer readings and if you swipe left once more, it will show you the tire pressures.
But on the right side of the tire pressure car is the current heights of the vehicle. It shows you how tall it is and in your case, the lower clearance.

But when you move through water, the water creates waves. This waves are often much higher than the nominal height. And there's other vehicles that will be stupid and create huge waves.

One of the issues when driving in water is that you don't know what's under the water. Just this week I saw a video of a woman driving down the road in Florida, after all their rains. She turned into a shopping center and got stuck. What she couldn't see is that she had actually turned into a drainage ditch.

Don't drive
If you not in danger, don't drive.
If you must drive, crank the vehicle up, pressurize the battery and expect to stop every 20 minutes or so.
If you haven't gotten out of the water in 20 minutes, you are going in the wrong direction.

Good luck. If at all possible just sit back and make "an experience" out of it.

It should handle 8 inches of water with no problem.
