Easy process, they will deliver to a service center near you when you get your VIN. They won't have a VIN until the truck is built then figure 2-4 weeks for delivery. You won't have any worries.....

When I bought my Model X in 2016, there was zero Tesla presence in Michigan. I don't even think there was a supercharger in the state because I had to charge at a 50A Chargepoint in Bay City to make the trip up north. Tesla rented a car for me to drive down to Cleveland to pay and pick up my Model X. They had paperwork and a temporary plate ready for transfer into Michigan.

When I picked up my Cybertruck in Clarkston, the car had to be paid in full before they could transfer it across state lines, but that just took 5 days before it was delivered. It came with a Michigan plate and tabs for 2025. Just had to provide the payment and proof of insurance via the Tesla app. Super easy.

Yep.
Got VIN on a Friday,applied for financing, and resubmitted trade in info. Financing approved Monday.
Delivery notice two weeks after VIN on a Friday. Made fInal payment and scheduled delivery for Saturday. 15 days from VIN to vehicle.

That is legit.
I'm hoping to get a VIN soon so I can do the same. Order placed on the 7th with the white interior. Holding off on the financing until VIN is assigned.

Does anyone know if I can get a custom plate or that will need to be done after?

You can't get custom through Tesla. You can change your plate to custom later with Secretary of State and that could be done online back in 2019.

I noticed several CT's parked at the Clarkston Service Center last week and buyers taking delivery there. Agree with forum members, due to Michigan's rules, the unit needs to be paid before it enters Michigan State Line then you take delivery at your closest location.

But with that you still will have your vin etc prior. So without vin i'm still in a holding pattern...
I'm assuming vin comes then when Tesla needs it I do the loan/payment.

Yeah, since loan offers are limited time that's the way I did it. Loan after getting VIN, final payment and insurance after getting delivery date.
