Mid 9000 vin and just got the email for my light bar!

Finally it’s my time! I took delivery early may and after a few failed attempts contacting service about the light bar the email came. When I went to schedule service there was already a light bar tab to click for service. There are a lot of backroads where I live so I’m looking forward to lighting up the night!

edit: I’ve read Tesla has a few different styles of insulation. Some have to solder the connection while others just have to clip together connectors behind the B pillar glass. Any info on this.

I just got mine installed a week ago. All I had to do was lift up the B pillar camera and clip the power cables together, remove the blackout film, and then turn on the top power feed (as all documented in the manual). I needed my plastic pry bars to remove a fascia cover on the bottom of the B pillar and a 10mm socket wrench. Entire process took me about 5 min.

I just got my email yesterday. My VIN # in the low 8000's. So, 341 days since delivery, and 1620 days since my initial pre-order back in Sept 2019?
The complete install (apparently, here in Texas, they will do the full installation) is scheduled on tax day 15 April

Did you ask in the service chat whether they connected everything or did they say this without being prompted? Mine hasn’t said anything. Planned on asking when I dropped it off.
