Why does the admin delete other posts but not this one? What does this have to do with Cybertruck? At least move it to the Versus forum.
It's a relevant topic due to the the potential of the CT sharing parts/systems with the refreshed model y.

None of the new and exciting CT technology made it to the MY outside of the bumper camera.

I personally am not liking the rear/exterior lights. Something about the overall look seems too American /Buick...

Many times it’s less than 2 years, but usually my wife’s are more. Not your money what do you care. Is it smart financially no. Going out to eat, buying a pool, and buying my Model S are awful financial decisions too. Wow how much money could I have if I lived in a trailer with a 2002 Honda Accord and ate Ramen noodles every day. I’m so irresponsible. LMAO ?

Do you have official sources for this info so I can examine?

telsa.cn, tesla.aus, etc.

No 48v, no steer by wire, no split battery pack/faster charging, mostly the same range. Sawyer Merritt or someone said it's the same 2170 batteries. The batteries make sense as it's a global vehicle and they make 4680s in Austin.

I guess 99% of us on this forum are irresponsible. We bought $100K trucks instead of 2 Model Ys.

I'm a little disappointed in the absent CT tech in the new MY (my dream was this would be refreshed with steer by wire). Was looking forward to this refresh to get one for my fiancee, but surprised at how little has been updated. I know this is incredibly unlikely but I'm still (naively) hoping that maybe there's a US variant that has some more changes.

On the flipside hard to argue against them not changing a whole lot. Already the best selling car in the world so makes sense they don't want to completely revamp it.

Franz basically said the 48v won't come to the existing fleet. He said it would only come to brand new offerings as it's difficult to add. That probably excludes SBW, but no...they won't have SBW/48v on the US and not on the global offering. That doesn't make much sense.

You’re probably right. Sad days. If the Y got those things it would be a force to be reckoned with. Might actually convince me to make it my daily over the CT because of its efficiency. So on second thought I’m glad it doesn’t have any of that lol

Good points. Didn't know Franz said that. Bummer though! Steer by wire is one of the most incredible things about the CT. Maybe some day we will get it on other models :)

The Y is already going to be much more efficient than a CT. 48V would likely have minimal impact.
Yeah, I was mostly talking about SBW
