On the way home, there's a lady in the left lane who slows down and turns on her right signal. The CT lets her merge in front of us. She's driving super slowl. Although we're turning right in 0.01 miles, the CT puts its left signal on, jets around her, signals a right turn, then makes a right turn in front of her, all within 0.01 miles. I was waiting for the one-finger salute after that.

You all still do not get it why some do not like the CT.

You had a total of 528 feet (1/10th of a mile you said) yet your CT floors it and then whips back into the lane in front of her to do a right hand turn right in front of her.

Would it have hurt or make any real difference to just wait the other 10 or 15 extra seconds it may have been if you would have stayed behind her the 528 feet to get to your turn? Would not have that been more curious to your fellow driver on the road.

More important, Do you think you made a positive impression of Tesla CT owners? And if you do not care that is the problem.

Anyone with a CT and fSD and on mad max mode already knows this is a problem. Hence my snarky comment. And to be clear it’s not my type of driving

I agree. I drive in Mad Max mode because that's how I drive, which is why I think Tesla did a good job of adding different modes for different driving styles to accommodate almost everyone.

Do not get me totally wrong. I think the CT has many, many positive features and I do not even own one but admire it from a distance.

So I try and give a open mind to what I read and such.

That is why I asked does something like this "give a positive impression of Tesla CT owners".

I learned many years ago you can do 99 things right or very good. But your one thing you screw up on is the one that is easily remembered.

Drive how you want but maybe she was going to turn soon also and was just slowing down or going slower to be safe (she was in the right lane remember, not the left). And according to the OP she did use her turn signal to merge from the left lane to the what is usually the slower right lane.

I know many of you like the faster modes in FSD and see how it goes and reacts. But if I remember right Mad Max setting lets the CT to go "OVER" the speed limit by a decent amount. Is that really even a smart decision.

I am off my soap box now. Just want to see the CT get positive impressions as it is truly a great vehicle. If it was not so dam big I might even get one but it's just to much for me and for this stage of my driving life and what I need a truck for.

I got "Blue-Lighted" today on a four lane highway, I assumed for speeding in "Mad Max" mode. (hadn't put my tag sticker on) CyberTruck immediately slowed down and began to pull off the road to the shoulder when I took over so I could pull into a store parking lot. Was very impressed with the recognition of a Police Car and 007's reaction to it. I don't know if it would have completed the maneuver by coming to a complete stop on the shoulder but, the recognition of a Police Car with its lights on behind me was impressive.

I have been complaining about this for months. It happens in all modes at/above standard and is super rude.

I occasionally will thumb it down to Chill or Sloth mode to avoid it making an aggressive move that I don’t want. Then I thumb it back up when that situation is over.

I appreciate having the options. It ain’t that hard.

A great option of monitoring the CT or any Tesla in FSD mode is the ability to change driving modes while moving. In heavy rain on a highway at night. Hurry mode doesn't feel right to me. I use the right thumb wheel to select chill. Raining is the only occasion I would chill. Toggling between Standard and Hurry is something I use often. I'm really get accustomed to the job of monitoring the CT space ship in FSD.

Actually, the OP said 0.01 miles, which is 52.8 feet and certainly a typo :)
