unless you have a good lawyer who works for free, it won’t be easy (or at least cheap) to finagle such a ‘deal’ - at least between two moderately sophisticated parties who see around the few corners there

You’ll have to buy it yourself, then flip it (eating your time and taxes etc. in the process), then risk Tesla putting you on the naughty list (eg not selling to you again).

whether any of that makes sense from a time, effort, and expense perspective all comes down to how early you might receive your unit.

and since right now no one knows timing of deliveries (into the future), nor whether Tesla will even follow the queue for very long (they’ve blown up queues before) - I’d say that all in all you’d be better off just declining your reservation and getting your $100 back.

to much risk that, eg, you go through the time/effort of trying to finagle a flip, then wait around for your number to come up, when your buyer meanwhile may find one sooner and walk your deal. A dozen such scenarios could play out.

if you have a friend you trust to not screw you, then you’d be left with just deciding which of you pays your taxes (on your purchase) and their taxes (on their purchase from you)
