I need crossbars for the CT. Debating between the Mars expedition crossbars, the Cybertruck co heavy duty bars or waiting for the Tesla version to release.

I’m thinking about using them on the 2nd (top of bed) and 3rd (roof closest to rear) mounting position. This is mainly for a bike rack but this spot seems like the most functional given it won’t interfere with loading stuff by the tailgate and isn’t in the highest and front most spot.

Thoughts on brands and mounting locations?

If it’s just a bicycle, then I would recommend using our light duty crossbar kit and it’s gonna be around four bucks. The Heavy kit is design for rooftop tent tire on the rear bar heavy duty application, thought the machined aluminum does feel and looked like $$$.

We actually have several customer ordering our crossbars for the same exact reason - mounting bikes.

Our crossbars are designed to have cutouts so it's pretty easy to drop in t-slot bolts without taking off the crossbars. The crossbars also come with rubber strips which works great for providing grips.

We picked the cross-section specifically for Cybertruck as CT has probably one of the widest crossbar mounting locations among all utility vehicles (and thus making the center deflection large if the crossbars are not strong enough)

I assume you're with Cybetruck co? I'd prefer the flex of the heavier duty. When are you shipping? I had an issue trying to order another product from your company previously where I kept being told it was being shipped and it never did.

Finally, how do you think about your crossbar vs. what you know about Mars? Theirs is a few hundred less for what sound like the same specs. Does yours work for all L track mounted bike roof racks and other accessories? Thanks!

Happy Fourth of July! Sorry that we under delivered when we first launched and didn’t have inventory of the items. We have all items in stock now except for the lift rods. The website inventory is accurate. If you ordered anything this weekend, it won’t ship till Tuesday because of the holiday weekend.

as far as the Mars rack goes, I have not seen one in person. It appears that they use the same extrusion that we do but they have a multi piece mountain system. I’m sure it’s good, though I personally do not like to see mounting hardware on the Cybertruck.

The difference with Our monobloc design is that it has the hardware hidden on top and deep in the pocket, and it also captures the rail so there’s zero chance of it coming loose and falling out.

we also have a lot of accessories for racks; rooftop tent leveling kit, rooftop tent kit riser kit, awning riser kit, molle plates and mounting bracket options. More are designed and will be added shortly!

Thanks for considering us and have a great holiday weekend in your American made truck!

I’ve worked with @CYBERTRUCKco and I love their setup. I have the heavy duty crossbars in position 1,2,3. I’m sure you’ve seen them but here they are again.

Got the light duty crossbars from @CYBERTRUCKco for carrying bikes, recovery boards and surfboards. The extruded bars with T slots on all four sides of the bar allows unlimited configurations for mounting accessories.

installation was very straightforward. Took me about 20 minutes the first time.

I got the bars for #2 and #3 positions. They are solid and looks great on the CyberTruck .

I do frequently load truck bed full of stuffs and it only takes 30 seconds to unscrew and remove the #3 crossbar from the mounting posts for full truck bed access when I need it.
I’d put the 4 stainless screws and washers in a bag and store the crossbar in the truck bed.

I have had the CyberTruckco’s crossbars for over 2k on and off road miles with no issues and excellent utilizations. I’ll be getting more accessories from CyberTruckco most definitely.

Do you have photos or video of the installation process? Curious how easy the install/removal is when needed.

What are the dimensions of the crossbars? I need the width and thickness to ensure compatibility with some accessories. Also...do you need to remove the crossbar to add accessories requiring the t slots? Thank you!

to remove the bars is only 2x locknuts per side. That said I think it’s more of a permanent fitment. I would hate to have somebody take them off and on multiple times and strip the OEM bolts….

The bars are 3” x 1” thick and use 1/4”- 20 hardware. New orders shipping next Week have the bar notched for easy tnut drop in.

The bar will work with most accessories from prinsu or roof rack companies using 1020 or 1030 extrusion. Anything that clamps around them from Thuli or rhino rack will also work no problem as most of their clamps are 4 inches wide . if you have a specific item, you’re trying to mount and want to send me a message with the link to it I can confirm it will work.

Hope that helps!

It does, thanks! Do you need the drop in specific t nuts for the bars shipping this week? or now it will have slots that work with regular t nuts?

Also, there was a mention of a rubber stripping to prevent wind noise. Are those available to order? I put an order in yesterday for two bars plus t nuts. Just want to confirm I have everything I need. Is it easiest to call on Monday perhaps? Thank you.
