In reality though, it’s not a $20k extra cost. They just are forcing you to choose some options you may or may not even want. Such as Full Self Driving ($8k value maybe?) and The bigger wheels and tires. Also the semi weird home battery thing that can power your house for a few days? I think overall you are getting $15k in real upgrades. So it’s like a $5k cost you’re throwing away just to have the truck sooner than othersI have indirectly, asked the same question but I’m pretty sure nobody knows that exact answer. The foundation series wasn’t even mentioned in development, or even during the press release. I’m pretty sure it was something that was sprung on the first people that got to fulfill the reservation.
It’s clearly a money grab disguised as a “limited edition” is that clearly is not so limited. The funniest part is the people that applaud Elon for trying to enforce a bogus no resale clause can’t explain what the differences between somebody reselling their truck versus Elon charging 20k for a foundation series. Funny part is if you choose not to get the foundation series you get skipped in line and go the the next guy that will pay the 20k. .
This seems familiarNobody knows except Elon Musk
Lol…. No offense but this sounds like a typical dirt bag used car salesman pitch.. if you are not allowed to purchase a vehicle that you reserved because you are forced to buy accessories that you do not wish to have the new you are 100% being forced to spin 20k.In reality though, it’s not a $20k extra cost. powershare is not weird. It is real technology and additional to my solar powerwall system can run home for probably week. It is like adding 9 powerwalls. In reality though, it’s not a $20k extra cost. They just are forcing you to choose some options you may or may not even want. If they make 50k this year (at current weekly capacity) the first 10-20k being founders is limited. Especially if they start to make over 100k a year.I have indirectly, asked the same question but I’m pretty sure nobody knows that exact answer. The foundation series wasn’t even mentioned in development, or even during the press release. I’m pretty sure it was something that was sprung on the first people that got to fulfill the reservation.

I don't believe the non FS series will be available anytime soon. Reason: there are still lots of people waiting to get the invite to configure (at least 75% of my friends who reserved one). Tesla's profit margin is down. They will keep the FS series going as long as there is demand (that is pure business and makes sense and Elon has made a similar statement over the weekend). Demand is still very high. I suspect this may go on until at least the end of the year. Why would they not?I received the invite but saw the $20k markup, how long roughly will all of us have to wait to get the non-founders series CT?
Literally almost everything you said in your post is a contradiction and I will point them out one by one….Just another data point to consider:
I’m res no. 11307xxxx and anticipate the invite email any day now. I will unhesitatingly order the AWD FS asap. The process has afforded more than ample time to consider in depth “FS now” vs what ever normal will eventually be. As a TSLA LTS I’ve no qualms w Tesla exploiting high demand by providing an “exclusive” version at an inflated price, indefinitely. Smart capitalism is a “money grab”. (Why pay a premium for a front section seat in a concert? It’s the same sound. Why pay a premium for an author-signed comic book & certificate of authenticity? It’s the same comic book. Why slip the maitre d’ a fiddy to sit by the window? It’s the same food.) There is some added value, w/ FSD, wheels, unique branding, etc., but definitely some (arguably worthless) personal gratification perks for being one of the first in your village to own one and not having to wait any friggin longer...
Non-FS buyers think the delay sucks. FS buyers with $20k to waste think being getting priority is great. God bless America, nepo-babies and bullies.I received the invite but saw the $20k markup, how long roughly will all of us have to wait to get the non-founders series CT?
