They could very well be but my point is: most of the delivery centers already have a backlog of trucks to get through which are physically on their property…. therefore they cannot receive new VIN CTs with the fix unless they have the space to accommodate those deliveries.
My discussion with the KC service center yesterday basically echoed the same sentiment.
After the layoffs on Monday they are running very thin on staff members to inspect, detail, and deliver vehicles. KC is down to 2 sales reps and 3 service techs ?.
The sales rep said “we have to deliver your truck ASAP because we have new ones coming in we have to make room for”

Again, they cannot deliver new CTs unless they clear their existing backlog first or they physically remove the affected vehicles from delivery centers and replace them with new VIN CTs.

This wasn't my experience when I got my Y in 2022, near the end of the supply chain issues. My neighbors Y had been sitting on the lot in hold status for a few weeks waiting on some interior parts (sound deadening and something minor with the electrical ) when mine came in. I was able to pick mine up a few days after it arrived, he waited another 2 weeks on his. (I told him he could park it in his driveway a few days a week if it helped)

Not quite the same situation, but similar. I'm not sure how much tesla corporate cares about the space problems at the service centers, they just have to double, triple stack them or whatever it takes.

But my neighbor got the last laugh after my Y spent 11 repair attempts between home service & the service center to track down some sensor issues

My truck is enroute from the factory as of today. I suspect parts to fix accelerators are also enroute to delivery centers all over.

I expect any delayed deliveries to be sorted by next Wed or Thurs.

This hold was a non issue as expected.

I believe you, but service center has zero control over what comes in. They can not communicate with HQ, and HQ does not care. They just shipped a record amount in the past 48 hours, check the drone footage. Service centers still haven’t gotten any update since April 13th! No instruction on how to deal with this issue. This is a typical Tesla move.

I completely believe you, not doubting anything you're saying.

I'm just saying that I don't think tesla corporate cares - they keep shipping and let the SCs deal with it. I also don't think anyone at the SC has much visibility or control into anything, they are all along for the ride just like us.

My truck is sitting at the delivery center. Messaged on the app this morning and was told there is no update. I have no delivery date.
Can you give us the details of your order ?

* first 5 of RN

* date you configured your truck

* date you got your VIN

* VIN Number range (6800, 4500, etc)

* Date you took delivery (if applicable)
