Yeah. I'm not sure. They confirmed that the truck is physically there but not yet ready for delivery (I was trying to take delivery today). We'll see what happens on Wednesday

Took delivery yesterday in Brandon,MS. Dual motor. Was overall good experience. Initially had some issues with screens not coming on but tech was great and did hard reset. Everything worked. Few very minor fit and finish issues (Bumpy dash covering, few swirls on one panel, one exposed attachment for the headliner but otherwise really good. No significant panel alignment issues). Drove back to Louisiana (167 miles interstate) and got home with 41% left in the battery (better range than I was expecting).. steer by wire was weird for about 10 minutes then got the hang of it (still a little wonky at low/parking speeds but think it’s going to be an easy transition).

Mine ad many others are at the Delivery Center physically, but on hold. It is indeed possible, since no one know the details yet, that you will be able to pick yours up, but like I said, be ready...

Many of us who were expecting delivery this weekend received a text message last night stating that our deliveries were being canceled.

I was told that the delay will take a week or more

please chime in below and include your scheduled delivery date and city/state so we can start tracking who’s deliveries were canceled this weekend

im hearing that it may be related to an accelerator issue… anyone have official confirmation from Tesla?

That guy is lying, there is no way for that pedal cover to jam the accelerator floored due to the spring tension on the pedal. Even when he tried to demonstrate what happened, it sprang back as soon as he removed his hand. He couldn't even replicate what he claimed had happened.

Just unreal.

As you lift your foot, your heel stays in the same place, the other lip could catch on the heel/mid-sole even as you move your forefoot to the brake.

You didn't think about this hard before jumping to your exasperated conclusion about the person lying. This being dangerous is also supported by the recall and halting of deliveries.

You're ahead of me! I never had a delivery date. Last week, I got an email asking if I want the gateway and a survey to answer.

I would think that since Tesla has been made aware of this issue, if they don’t fix it 100% correctly, they would be open to many lawsuits for negligence, if something were to happen after the fact.

My app doesn't show an estimated date. This is my first Tesla. My friend said his app showed an estimated date when he ordered an S, a 3 last year, and his new 3, that's on order. It looks like Tesla is doing it differently for the CT. The dealer here said it could take 2-3 months to get a date. They may be right, but I doubt that they know.

He's still kinda lying.

If he'd thought to, I dunno, lift his foot while holding onto the brake, it'd have solved the issue.

It only "leapt forward" because he told it to stop stopping.

I don't think we should be calling this guy a liar. Seems like a legitimate issue and a safety one at that. Why are we trying to blame this guy for simply raising awareness on a real problem he encountered?

If the cover comes off, it's dangerous enough for a recall. Nothing should be coming off down there and floating around the footwell. Whether it could jamb up against the top of the back wall of the footwell with the throttle wide open as described in the video is dubious. Why couldn't the Tik Tok guy demonstrate how it got stuck?

Because it's during the production ramp-up, Tesla has no idea when any individual vehicle is going to be built.

As opposed to the cars, for which they have relatively good data on and can estimate delivery timeframes.

They really just don't know when your vehicle is going to be, and Delivery Centers know even less.

At this point, for most states, they are starting to work on orders around the end of December. It took nearly 3 months just for the first week orders, but it appears that the other order groups were smaller.
