Day 2 with the CyberTruck AWD - Delivery Experience and Initial Impressions

Delivery Experience:
- Tesla Long Beach, CA
- Staff was friendly, smiles and handshakes
- But the car was "cleanish", not clean
- One guy talked with me for 2 minutes about the truck, but he seemed to not know a lot about what's supposed to come with it
- And that was it. They said I could drive the car over to the dirty red carpet so we could take some selfies (which we did).
- The fanfare with the smoke machine, the music, etc. - that's all over with now. This was more like "your car's over there, congratulations! bye!"

Initial Impressions (Day 2):
- Damn, this thing is BIG! First truck for me (unless you count the Wrangler)
- Quick learning curve coming from a Model Y
- Steer by wire takes like 2 minutes to adjust to
- At first I felt that the steering wheel was too small, but now I love it!
- Being a city boy I like driving in the low position, which is still much taller than a car
- So quiet! As soon as you shut the door you can hear the difference
- Not as fast as my MYP, but definitely fast enough
- Ride's like butter. How did they do this?
- 4WS is awesome; truck feels like it's half the size
- Barely fits in my garage! Touches the front and the back with garage door closed. Guess I'm gonna need a bigger house!
- Tech is superior to any other car out there
- Missed opportunity to not have a pass-thru rear window. Will someone in the aftermarket please fix this!?
- In Socal, people seem to already be used to seeing Cybertrucks. I know I was seeing at least one a day in the wild. So if you are an attention-whore, you will need to move on to the next "it" car, cuz it seems that this one is already getting yawns on the street.

Thank you to Elon, Franz, Lars, and the entire Tesla team including all the awesome folks at Gigafactory Austin for building such a unique and fantastic vehicle. No other company on the planet could've pulled this off!

Width or height are not an issue, it's the length. CT is roughly 18' 7", which is almost exactly the length of the garage from the back to the front...so when the garage door is closed it's literally touching at the front and the back. A few years ago we did a garage remodel with a full set of cabinets and worktop along the rear wall, so that ate up about 24". If not for that the truck would fit. Guess I need to shop for a bigger house now!

I just park my Cybertruck outside 100% of the time.

My garage is 20' x 20', so a bit longer than yours. Hopefully it's big enough to not be too crowded with a CT and Model Y in the garage.

I did that also, but got hit by the sprinklers overnight, and it was also under a tree, so looked like hell the next day. If I can inch it in backwards I can get it where it just touches the rear bumper and the garage door will close. Seriously there's barely 1/2 an inch worth of margin. Inside the garage I can charge and the CT will not get so dirty so fast.
