Cool idea. I wonder if they realized that any fix will result in something more costly and they didn’t want to spend any more money. Surely they could come up with a fix if they really wanted to.Why don’t they just put a couple small roller bearings at the ends that touch the tires of the originals. That way they don’t chew at the tires could be a quick $5 fix for the original wheel cover. 1-2 small wheel/baring at the end of each part that touches the tire.
I had a friend of mine do a decal cut of the logo to size since the center hub cap is smallI just bought these as well, but they weren’t delivered yet. Where did you get the cyber logo center cap?
Those are the updated covers for the 20' Cyber wheels.those have been around for a while now. they'll be for the 18 in wheel that is not offered with the foundation series.
I really don't want my mechanic to tell me it's time for new wheel cover bearings! Why don’t they just put a couple small roller bearings at the ends that touch the tires of the originals. Agree! I was just the opposite. I loved them in the beginning but have grown to like the wheels so probably won’t put anything over them even if they finally gave them to us.It's funny, you can go back to 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 and see how almost everyone thought the OEM wheel covers were the most hideous thing ever. I always somewhat liked the original OEM covers.
Now that you can't get them, everyone loves them!
Haters gotta find something to focus on!
Ha good pointI really don't want my mechanic to tell me it's time for new wheel cover bearings!
don't tires end up rotating around the wheel some under torque, so lining the tires up won't really last long?In this pic, they did not bother to line up the spokes of the cover with the cutouts on the sidewalls...yuck.
Once I put on black lug nut covers and center cap I decided I like them too, but I did like the original wheel covers and presumably they are more aerodynamic and easier to clean. I hope we get something almost as good.Agree! I was just the opposite. I loved them in the beginning but have grown to like the wheels so probably won’t put anything over them even if they finally gave them to us.
Those cap covers look great! Where can you buy those?I wouldn't use those. I'd rather just leave on these low-cost hub covers, instead. Here's a photo:
