Wait a minute! As a long-time truck owner, you are confusing me.

The truck bed is the place for dirty cargo. And passenger footwells get dirty from peoples boots so other things with light dirt on them can be put there if you don't have a passenger. But you are more concerned about the stuff you put in the passenger footwell getting the carpet dirty than you are about the passenger footwell getting your stuff dirty? Clean stuff like jackets and duffle bags go on the back seats. With Cybertruck we will have another clean spot to use too, the frunk.
I should have been more specific. I'm thinking about little stuff; a bag with something in it that might leak, a small item that might soil my carpet or seat, etc...

Here is an example. I have a small thing - maybe a small part or assembly that will fit in the "yacht floor" - that for whatever reason I don't want to put it on a seat or on the carpet (dirty, sharp/abrasive, wet or might spill, etc...) and I don't want to take time to find a box or other container for it. I just drop it onto the yacht floor and go.

I try to keep my carpet clean enough that if I put something on it, that thing won't get dirty.

At some point, during your first family trip the door will slowly open.

A timid voice will quietly ask...

~ Does anyone need... assistance? ~

was *not* suggesting to trust those bags!

suggesting place carry out bags in yacht floor!
How large do you think your truck is going to be? If you've got yacht kind of room I'm guessing you are thinking too large. Try something along the lines of a cabin cruiser.

It did, indeed. In my experience, it was pretty useless as anything you put there would go flying when you hit the go pedal. It would have been better served to call it the "launch pad". :ROFLMAO:

Oh, got it!

That's actually one of the situations I was thinking about. I've had a carry out bag topple over and mess up the carpet in the front more than once. Now, just set that bag o' fast food down and not worry about it so much.
