The avoid highways feature is nice. I am pretty happy with that. It gets most of the routes I want to take locally correct now.

I just had a pretty crappy FSD drive though mostly on the interstate. I was on standard and did about 45 miles. First error was the map said to go into the express lane but the truck just kept going straight in the middle lane. I hit the blinker to get it over. It used to go into the express.

Then on the express lane it passed a pick up that was slower and a speed demon immediately came from behind doing probably 90. Speed limit is 60. I waited for a bit for the truck to put the blinker on and get right but before it did the demon started flashing their headlights so I hit the blinker for it to go over. Not sure if that was because I was in standard or not.

Last error was it made the exit and was turning left but chose the right lane that turns right for some reason. It then put on the left blinker but a car came and it never got over so I took over and moved it slowly into the left turn lane. Never had that issue at the spot ever.

I don't know if this update caused these issues but probably not since they didn't change FSD. Gotta love the FSD regressions!

Worked perfectly (and the Starlink has double the download speed (just under 200 Mb) that my home does, but it all took about two hours. Not sure how that compares to updating at home as I never actually baby sat through that.
I didn't actually "baby-sit" it, but I know it went less than 45-minutes this last time earlier today and I have a 1 GB/s Internet service.

They have always taken less than 1-hour. Not sure if the predictions of what it will take ahead of time are acurate, or sand-bagged, but it usually predicts like 50 or 55-minutes before I decide to tell it to do it.

All the other updates are nice, but all I want is our B pillar cams to work for sentry asap. I know the CT uses a more efficient new method, but I’d argue that CTs are targeted way more than the other models!
Definitely feels that way. An old lady stuck her gum on mine the other day in the surgery waiting parking lot while my mom was coming out of surgery. Despicable.

I tried something different with my update today - I drove to the beach and did the whole thing over Starlink Mini sat connection. I was curious if that would work, as I always update plugged in, on wifi, at home.

Worked perfectly (and the Starlink has double the download speed (just under 200 Mb) that my home does, but it all took about two hours. Not sure how that compares to updating at home as I never actually baby sat through that. But I'll time that for the next update.

I'm comfortable now updating while remotely camping....
I would highly caution against that. Just because you have the speed and are able to do an update remotely from say your home, I wouldn't. Although it's very rare an update bricks a vehicle, it does from time to time or leave it an undrivable or unsafe condition. I'd not want that while camping and possibly far from service help. My $.02.

It was a big let down for me also. Matrix lights are in self drive category for me now, I won’t buy another car Without it. My model s matrix lights are so good.

why they skipped it on cyber I have no idea, but engineers said it was too small of an area to get that bulb led in there.
So if they are to small how does the new Y work? Those are very small also. My guess is cheaped out to lower costs.
