I think my next move is to fill the cooler in the bed with some cold beer, clean the truck up and have some fun.

Multimillionaire who has signed up to this forum and only posted this one conversation (and it's an irrational rant).

I'm going to need see some receipts for this stuff you are claiming, otherwise I think you are a short seller trying to damage Teslas reputation to your own gain.
Be a critical thinker. The totality of the story does not add up based on typical experiences of those who have taken delivery firsthand.
Bad customer experiences happen to all of us, but I've never responded by threatening to sell everything I own and burn my house down.

In my case the battery was dead. They literally couldn't locate which overflow parking lot my truck was in. I had a 4pm delivery appt. The thing is, 45 mins or so before that, as I'm driving in they call and tell me they're running behind but my truck is charging and being cleaned. After checking in another dude tells me the truck is on the lot and sends me on a goose hunt matching VINs. Finally the truth comes. They found it and bring it in on a flat bed truck and may have to swap mid level battery. Luckily didn't have to swap it...yet. I finally drove it home "as is" 3.5 hours later. I tried to scrutinize it on site the best I could and I washed and evaluated it more the next day. Submitted any findings to my existing service request from the night before. Manager did offer a loaner and have me pick it up the next day but in my mind I would clean it better anyway so I took it. Just info. It seems to be working out and hopefully a forgotten experience in a few weeks.
It's amazing how a day or two in the Cybertruck can change your thinking and show how invalid thousands of messages on this site are!

Yep. It takes a lot energy to stay pissed level 10. Ultimately the goal was enjoyment. I don't follow tribes or cults. I like what I like and like it to be nice when it's new. I'm not really a brand homer either. These companies need to be held accountable or else their shit starts to suck. I like the other EV trucks sans the Ford Lightning.

Yeah I believe the story it just sounds like an adult man baby that didn’t get his way. I’m sure Tesla doesn’t want to mess up the delivery. But sometimes things happen.

When I was young and worked at the mall I was threatened so many times by 40 year old men that wanted everything their way and wanted us to break the rules for them. I will never forget how shitty people can be.

The intellectual backflips that some are willing to do in order to make excuses for this company are just insane. People will study this one day.

I don't know what is true or not, but according to what he wrote, he does not have the choice to cancel his order.
They absolutely had a choice; it just wasn't convenient for them.

I had a delivery scheduled for Tuesday the 25th and they had 4 cybertrucks ready to go and got a Recall that halted ALL delivers. Few minutes after I left the App updated to July 3rd. Then yesterday it moved to June 29th. I told them I preferred the July 3rd since I had made plans with my kids this weekend, I sent them a screen shot of the 3rd at 4:30. They responded with "our end shows June 29th" Not complaining im sure they need to hit numbers for the month. I just waited 4 years lol they reschedule on me, I make plans and it doesn't seem like they want to accommodate that. But to answer your question the advisor didn't tell me the exact issue but I think he said it had to do with the windshield. Maybe i'm wrong and they had the issue fixed by the 26th. But I assume you ran into the same issue as I did, and everyone scheduled around that time. Relax and appreciate the fact you have one. Enjoy your Truck, You waited 4 years a few days should not be a deal breaker.

For a delivery on the 25th, you probably got caught with the trim piece and wiper motor recall. The stop delivery was relatively short and now they need to get the backlog off the lot.

And I think that I can safely say that if you can take the kids with you, getting the Cybertruck will win over most any other plans. Especially if you drive by their friends.

Still curious if we can get all of those receipts for this unhinged rant?

Otherwise maybe an admin can close this thread or delete since it's probably short seller FUD.

Showed up for delivery today (June 26th) and was refused the truck I paid for in cash. While Tesla had been texting non-stop for 5 days to pickup, when I arrived, they stated they had just unloaded the truck, and the windshield was damaged beyond what they could deliver. They refused to cancel my order, won't give me a delivery estimate, and won't say if they'll be swapping the truck or replacing the windshield. This would have been my 3rd Tesla, dumping it and my 9k shares in the morning. This was supposed to be a fun toy, but is no longer fun.
This is why you should always bring a check and not pay in advance.

... but to dump $2M worth of shares is a bit of an overreaction ...

Also, smells of FUD, got some proof?

not sure you will get a delivery appointment unless you pay ahead of time at least at some locations…

I am going to test that with my delivery this week.

While it indeed could be the case, the vast, I'll just say all, of the deliveries discussed on this forum say that you don't have to do it beforehand. You only have to do it before they will give you the vehicle.
You can do the payment on delivery day, as long as you have an accepted form of payment.

agreed as to forum comments. My delivery location had 3 Beasts (seats still in plastic) on site one of which was a May build. Not sure why they hadn’t been delivered 2 days before end of quarter…

one explanation is that they set up delivery after payment not arrival at the delivery location.

I am going to hold payment until they reach out. They told me that the VIN in my account is scheduled to arrive in July 4th. I am curious to see how it goes from there. Now that I “have” a VIN a certain calmness has come to me.

might be that I am off of work for summer break also…
