dang, I was hoping a software init. would take care of it. Hopefully it's not hardware related. let us know what they find!

(also, it would be super rare for you to brick the truck by reinstalling software from the service menu, but I guess they "have" to tell customers that so people don't mess around with stuff they don't understand.)
Yeah, I figured that. They didn't seem overly upset but advised against it.
I really hope it's not hardware related because I already had the PCS replaced along with 3 other components and harnesses. It took almost 4 weeks and the service center is 2.5 hours away.

Ok. My CT is in the shop. They think it's the PCU. They plan to test the "fuses". If PCU, May take a week to get part in. Quite a coincidence this happed after 32.5.3 update. Btw i was having issues with the outlets in the bed before this. They would shut off after 13 to 15 minutes. Or they would "trip" when I opened and closed the outlet cover. I had to constantly reset the outlets. More to come...

I was afraid it would be a hardware issue. My PCS was replaced back in June and it was a mess. They damaged 2 other components and most of the time it was waiting on parts to ship/arrive. To make matters worse they returned it to me with damaged interior door panels which then I had to wait another month to get fixed. Luckily that was done with a mobile visit. In my state if a vehicle is in service for more than 30 days within the first 2 years it can be filed as a lemon. I'll exceed that within the first 6 months.

that would be great. How do I initiate mobile tech? Never done that before?
I have had Tesla intervene a couple of times through a service ticket. They can do some things remotely.

They attempted to remotely reinstall the software with no success. They had access to the logs and everything.

Two things of note in this thread:

1. Pressing and holding the two scroll wheels resets the screen but NOT the vehicle. It'll solve screen and audio related problems.

2. The reason DC Fast charging works is probably because OP's onboard charger isn't involved in the process. Using AC current, your truck's Charger converts to DC and actually charges the battery. That's why we try to correct people to call them "Wall Connectors" and not "Wall Chargers". It matters because in this case, OPs charger is bad... He can still charge his truck by using the Supercharger as it puts out DC power but not from AC power sources.

Just heard from Service. The power harness is having some ground or short issues. Possible kink or cut. They ordered a new harness. It's scheduled to come in Oct 9th. They didn't know why this happened after the software release. Could have been a coincidence. More to come...

Quick update... I took my CT into service yesterday morning and like you they said they are replacing the Power Conversion System (PCS). This is my second replacement of the PCS. They gave me a 48-hour turn around and should be ready by tomorrow EOBD. However, last time this was replaced it took more than a week.

Ok, was able to get my CT back today. Looks like the fuse on the device cluster that attaches to the ancillary harness was blown. They did confirm my HV wiring harness was shorting out as well. Looks like they replaced the device custer and wiring harness. I can now AC charge with no issues. To be honest, I don't know exactly what the device cluster is...I assume it attaches to the battery. While at the service center I noticed my driver side A pillar was protruding toward the back only to find the double sided tape was coming loose. Ugh! The joy of being an early adopter. Haha! Still Love my CT!

Device cluster is most of the guts of the PCS HV section part 15:

I also got the same issue, 2ND time! They replaced PCS with a lot of other things in April but the same issue happened again this week.

From your visit, did they root cause the reason why it keeps happening? Last time SC told me they have no clue what causes it, but just replaced everything and it works. Now I am worrying something else causes the issue.
