Kyle seemed to indicate the suspension discomfort is CB only. Since most of us only have extensive experience with one trim or the other, I imagine he's on to something. Maybe newer CB ride better for some reason, but at least the early FS have the BOOM.

Yeah it’s 100% CB and it’s not really from the suspension as much as it is because the CB is mostly biased towards front wheel drive and this causes the skipping that we feel.

I mentioned last week that when my CB was in for repairs they gave me a FS AWD as a loaner so I did have the opportunity to compare and it is a non-issue in that trim. This is why Kyle said that he’s probably going to get an AWD if they end up buying his CB back.

He also said he wanted to work with the engineers to go for a drive and help them resolve the suspension issue on the CB. I’m confident that this will be fixed at some point it’s just programming.

Do you also agree the AWD was a more quiet ride? My CB really starts screaming at various speeds from the front motor.

Well unfortunately since it was a loaner my AWD was capped at 80 miles an hour and I didn’t get to fully experience all of it’s speed and what have you, but I’ll say this:

1. The overall ride was definitely better but really only because of that front wheel drive clunk.

2. I did notice the motors whining more than I expected to. So, it actually made me feel better about my CB. I think it’s definitely quieter than my CB but not so much so as to be actually quiet like our X or my S plaid.

3. I fully understand why people say that the AWD has plenty of power. It really does! I still would’ve gotten the beast because I want the most power possible! But the AWD is plenty quick enough! FULL STOP!

4. To be clear they gave me a foundation series AWD and that made me sad that they can’t move these awesome trucks. But it was still a great opportunity for me to spend 48 hours with a car that otherwise I would have no experience with!

5. My FS/CB Was built in July 1924 and the truck that they gave me was built in Aug of 2024. The build quality was noticeably better from the stainless steel (fewer ripples than mineto general quietness. Also made me realize that there’s probably something going on with my stereo as it has a bit more distortion than I was expecting when compared to my other Teslas and this loaner had none of that.

6. It was super cool having two cyber trucks in my app for a while!
