Hopefully the service center airs up the tires lol
I would interject that all my tires were still 49psi but the cold of winter changed it to 43/44. Its important to consider that as if you air them up to 50 in the cold they will be well over when the temp rises

I believe the engineers take into account the added pressure of the tire when going from "room temperature" to on-the-road inflation pressure increase when they recommend the COLD inflation tire pressure. As long as my tires have been idle for a few hours I target the recommended COLD inflation pressure regardless of outside air temps.

I'm always willing to learn from others so chime in with your comments. I don't bruise easily  .

Just my observations from living in Canada 😆

Yah, and so you need to let air out as needed when the weather warms up.

On the plus side, I think my PCS is good

CyberGus I believe the PCS doesn't come into play during DC fast charging like from a supercharger but rather from an AC charger like your wall connector. I believe you have 2 of these PCS units in the CT, one for each side (L1 & L2) of the 240 AC circuit. When one fails you are generally limited to 1/2 the max amps you normally pull from your wall connector for charging such as 24a on a 48a charge circuit. The failed PCS has no affect on the DC fast charging from SuperChargers.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The PCS (“Power Conversion System”) includes a pair of 24A AC-DC converters, which are the most common failure. But, that’s not all the PCS does, so theoretically a malfunction could prevent DCFC.

Going full nerd here. (before coffee)
DC fast charging bypasses the PCS entirely and is controlled by the High Voltage Controller.

However, the HVC should require positive verification of PCS and ACJB states before enabling fast charging as well as HV isolation.

However, those checks likely mirror the ones needed for engaging the HV system for driving.

So, if one managed to drive to a Supercharger without a 48V or HV warning, any active PCS failures likely wouldn't prevent charging.

Tesla Castleton in Indianapolis are great, got a new model S today as a loaner. I submitted other complaints while this was in for the powertrain failure. That list includes:
  • Powertrain issues
  • Steering Wheel peeling on back of wheel
  • Hood alignment is jacked up
  • Tonneau cover leaks badly with my textile oem mat and freezes it to the point I cant access smuggler vault.
  • Drivers seat squeaks like crazy on turns
  • Cantrail replacement
  • Forward cam glass cleaning
They think we’ll get it back Thursday this week.

When you get your truck back, double and triple check all the weatherstripping touching any panels they touch. I took mine in for a latch issue, they adjusted the hood and damaged the apron to bottom of the windshield seal and the cantrail to glass seals. The seals on the sides of the windshield are supposed to at least be touching the cantrails and with the hood closed the bottom seal at the edge of the glass should contact the hood skin.
On mine they shoved it under the glass and tried to tell me the seal not sealing was “within spec” had to pull up their own service work package to get them to admit it was all f’ed up.
