Haha, at 17 I wasn’t anywhere close to where I am now! However, I was building the foundation that led me here.

My advice to him is to try and meet as many people as possible AND maintain relationships with them. Even if they seem “useless” to your mission, they may be extremely useful at a later date. Don’t be afraid to lend a hand for free or go out of your way to help someone you didn’t have to help; it always comes back tenfold.

He should find something (literally anything) he’s passionate about and will spend time on and become an expert at it (which WILL take many years). Never give up; it’s cliché but true. You literally cannot fail if you refuse to quit. Countless things can be monetized nowadays!

TLDR: connections is key, don’t give up.
