I think that someone said (I haven’t tried the feature yet) that the feature is only available in the phone app, so it is pretty unlikely that you would accidentally open the doors.

It is only available in the phone app, so it's pretty useless. I would like it on the main screen with the tailgate, so I can open a door when I stop to pick up a passenger who doesn't know how to open the door (which is always).

I already did it. Trying to swipe the app and hit it.

Outside of CT and within Bluetooth range, I opened the doors with the app. If you don't physically open the door(s) after a certain amount of time, the doors will partly close and lock.

Experimenting with this more ...
- I am able to open the doors with the app while seated in my CT.
-After 30 seconds with opening door with app, my door will partially close and lock. Note since the door isn't completely closed, the window stays in the lower position.
- Must be within Bluetooth range for the (open door) arrows to show up.

Interesting. I did not have that option while sitting in the driver's seat. I'll have to try again. However, that would be a pain in the neck to use my phone instead of touching something on the screen.

Close to 0% chance this occurs because they cannot close on their own. The MX will prop open the door anytime someone passes with a phone, but if no one is entering, can close again. The CT cannot do that. Wes spoke about this before. He basically offered (eventually) the option to pop the doors like the 3/Y and we got that.
I just tried it with my CYBERTRUCK and even tho it did not close it did re-lock and I was unable to gain access.

I agree with those of you who said they would rather have this feature on the main screen in the car as it is now with the close proximity limitation. I too have accidentally opened the/a door at times when that's the last thing you want to do. I was going to say it comes and go's in my app. but I understand now you must be within blue tooth range. that helps with the unintentional openning of the door issues keep to a minimum at least your close by. and its not on all the time. unless your the type that never departs from your truck. But if this accedental openning issue could be eliminated. I think this would be much more usful if it was also made to work from anywhere you are, long distance function like when you need to let some one gain access to the truck or anything within the truck while you are somewhere else. the unexpected emergncy or whatever I'll let you use your imagination.

Oh my bad I stand corrected. You are right. you can already do that unlock the doors from anywhere (I assume it's from any distance) I have not confirmed this. I meant open them but unlock it's just as effective for this purpose. I still think having the open function it in the main screen would be nice and making it less likely to accidentally trigger from the app would also be nice
