I have been trying for weeks to get my order in as a day 1 reservation holder. All good until i get to the finance page which redirects to the US page from the Canadian page demanding a zip code rather than a postal code which we use in Canada. Process stops there. I have been unable to contact tesla over any app or the web. My next stop is to go out to the delivery/service center. Anyone know what's up?

Forget your old reservation for now, you probably placed it on the US site like I did. Just go to the Canadian site and place a new order for a foundation series. You can deal with financing afterwards. You’ll probably have your truck in a month or two. ?

Good thought. You may be right. I don't want a foundation though. We have a
2022 model y and my CT reservation shows up there in the Canadian site. I'll head out to the SC. Thanks!

You can only order the foundation series in Canada. They have not opened up non foundation to orders yet.

Yep, at Tesla now and that's what they said happened. Worst part is they are cancelling the orders and I now, after A 5 year wait, go to the back of the line. This is a massive failure on Teslas part. Just beyond disappointed. And to top it off only foundation series available in Canada still.

Don’t sweat it, I was worried about the same thing. Just get your foundation series. Once you add everything up, it’s a decent price. Place your order now and the site says you’ll likely have a truck in December!!! If it makes you feel any better, you’ll probably save $5,000 to $10,000 the first year not paying for gas and maintenance :)
Or sit on the sidelines and wait for a non-foundation series… After 5 years, I couldn’t wait and I couldn’t be happier!

So, does anyone have an idea as to when non-Foundation CTs will be available in Canada, or what's the barrier to that at present?

I believe it took about 8 months to a year for the Non FS to be released in the US, so probably a similar timeframe for Canada. Just a guess!

You know, I'm ok with that; gives them time to iron the bugs out. I learned the hard way long ago to never buy a vehicle in the first model year.

Was test driving one yesterday. Very cool! So much power and felt really solid. The lady at the dealership said they need to sell 10,000 foundation model first. Just what I heard.

I think the fact that it’s been out already for a bit in the US it would mean many of the bugs have been worked out by now when it hits Canada
