Original tire replacement for Foundation Series Cybertruck recommendations?

I'm more concerned about sound and mileage than offloading and Snow
Want the best Warranty. Tesla does not do warranty repairs on tires so where is the best place to buy it?

Watching for recommendations as well. I figure I'm 8,000 miles or so from needing a second set.

I like the original ATs and have gotten decent mileage from them.

I lean towards Tesla replacing them because of the sensors and I KNOW they'll be quiet and decent. I'd hate to get a set that I didn't like the looks of or were loud or just didn't last as long.

So, I'm also looking for recommendations.

The stock tires seemed to come with 1/2 the tread gone... They also wore out fast.

I now have Nitto Recon Grappler AT and Love them

I recommend the Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT ELECT tires. Very aggressive for all terrain and quiet with good handling on roads and in the rain.

The sensors (Cerberus) that come in the Cybertruck tires from Tesla are only redundant TPMS sensors. They are not necessary as they do not transmit any other data to the truck.

I’m a discount tire guy.

had my CT serviced by Tesla with rotation etc and I asked for a tire status report and tire depth. Got none of that as tires were “within spec” and “did not need rotation”. Within 4k miles my tires had severe chunking and were at the wear bars.

do not recommend OEM Pirelli at their price point. I have the XTM AT however and am fairly happy with them as I wanted some off road utility, did not lose much efficiency or noise change. You might be in the market for AS so I’m not sure I can recommend something other than OEM, which I don’t recommend GL

I just got a set of Michellin defender platinum ltx from discount tire, and have been really really happy with them on my core wheels. Best customer service as far as im concerned for what I have local coe tire shops.

Good year will give you a tread discount. It's only got 50 K miles on my tires after 2 years towards a new set of good years.

I had tesla tire protection , but when I went to use it, they do not do roadside service for cyber trucks and when they check the tire they wouod bot honor it wqnted me to buy anything at 4/32 wear in one spot. deny the claim.

The inside of the tires were worn down on the Cybertruck avoiding my tire protection plan with Tesla.

Since Tesla does not give a warranty on the tires. I'm looking at Goodyear or discount tires or maybe even Sams

I got it nail on my tire. Tesla refuse to patch it. Only option they gave me a new set of tires.

Had to do my own repair in the parking lot at Tesla

So far no tire rotations, 24k miles since April of 2024. Tires still look good. Maybe 50k before replacement

I’m sticking with OEM A/T.

On my second set after 35k-ish miles. Good ride. Low noise. Plenty of off-road grip for what I do.

They would’ve gone further, but my FS credit was expiring and I used it towards the tires, haha!!

Beast owner here, I chose OEM AT. I get about 38-40k miles out a set. I do launches, gun it at red lights etc, take corners likely too fast etc. for how I drive they are about as perfect as you can get without having to do multiple sets for winter, summer. & trails. The only thing I don’t like is the price.

You can get the same tire at discount tire and use there warranty program if you think Tesla supplied tires are shaved. I havnt changed brands bc there’s not many 130 mph rated tires with load capacity and noise available, its a give and take situation. 90 mph comes too quick.

I’ve read great things about them but that they are heavier than the Pirellis and there is a little range/efficiency hit. Have you noticed any decrease in efficiency?

I saw maybe 4% but realistically I would have been fine with them even if it was 3x more.
