I would have told them absolutely not, and if they wanted to complete the sale they would take my bank check today, or I would order through another service center.

I have ordered 2 new vehicles with Telsa, and brought an official bank check each time. It helps to keep it in the original envelope and untorn from the printout.

alternatively, they can agree to wire as long as Tesla covers the wiring fee. It shouldn't cost money to give them money.

Yea I paid with a Casheir's check too, no issues. I would NOT have wired, because that makes it messy if you decline the vehicle.
