You do know with the tailgate down the R1 bed length is 7'. That is very substantial.

That's 11" longer than I thought but doesn't fix the very short bed height in terms of being able to lock larger items up.

I have found the far majority my F150s in the area suburbs are XLT and lariats which are higher than 39k

It's the same around here. No way the average new F150 is leaving the lot at that low of a price after the last few years of inflation.

Just saw the CT in person for the first time. It's nice. i was on the fence for FS before.

Now i am going to definitely wait for the non FS model, even if it takes time. no rush.
