When I'm approached by strangers who feel the need to share what they've seen on TikTok or Facebook, I ask them if they find opinions on the internet to be reliable sources of information. It usually resets the conversation. My son sometimes checks their vehicles subreddit while we are talking and asks them questions about their vehicles. "Was your Tacoma part of the engine recall?"
