This mod has been with me x 1 month thru hot weather in TX. Over 2500 miles of road time.

The difference with this vs prior attempt is that this has suction power AND sticky gel.

It attaches to the back of the display. My V1 gen 2 bottom has the included MagSafe metal ring attached. So I can mount and unmount the radar detector anytime.

Is there a version of that mount that has a much longer neck? Would be cool to put a phone there vertically or horizontally for filming or watching content.

I installed my v1 gen 2 last week. Wire tap into the mirror housing area. I used the suction cups and put it at the top of the windshield towards the center so the mirror doesn't bother it. It's angled a little high but seems to be working fine. Somehow I pick up rear radar with the tonneau closed. I tried an Amazon rear view mirror mount but hate it that low. I drive through a couple states where it's illegal and need it hidden.

thanks. im trying to route the power cable under the center console floor board so it is hidden from plain sight. havent had a chance to tinker with it yet. i know the power from the center glove box can be routed out.

i did add the anker power station to my cart.

I am sure that you can find one...but make sure that it has the STICKY gel along with the suction cup. Suction cup alone will NOT stick to the back reliably.
